I'll start out by quoting Joong on this subject: It should also be noted that Red (fire) and Purple (poison) Elemental Wands/Staves give a damage penalty if used by an I/L (Arch)Mage with ice or lightning attacks. The same is true of Blue (ice) and Yellow (lightning) Elemental Wands/Staves if used by a F/P (Arch)Mage with fire or poison attacks. Bishops recieve no damage bonus or penalty from using Elemental Wands/Staves. Holy - and non-elemental - attacks are not affected by the bonuses or penalties of the Elemental weapons. I just spent a fair time testing this out with elemental/non-elemental wands on the test server, so theoretically, this is how things should work on the live server, too. I used the same character each time, with the same non-weapon equips and same level, and made sure that the elementally neutral weapon I used (a Dragon Wand) was scrolled so that it gave exactly the same amount of magic attack as a clean, average Elemental Wand, taking the amount of int on each into account. (If things aren't working as described above on the live server, then that's a bug, and needs to be addressed.)
Maybe one of the GMs will do a test on the live server, to be sure that my findings on the test server match up with what's happening on the live server? (Note to GM: to get the exact same magic attack of an average lvl 130 ele wand (taking int into account), you need to scroll an average Dragon Wand with 1 x10%, 5 x60%s and 1 x100%.)
There wouldn't have been any point in doing that, as I was testing the lvl 130 wands, and mages of that level would have already maxed elemental amplification. Also, elemental amplification would have been applied to the skill while using a non-elemental weapon as well as using an elemental one.
It actually worked in GMS, Bishops were able to abuse the wands as well to become absolute gods then they added the nerf to holy damage on all wands.
So far on this server it's pretty balanced, mostly due to gen20 being expensive as hell and gen30 not available yet.
Gen20 has always been expensive as hell due to demand, even in officialMS And fact of the matter is that 50% of the popular leech maps are weak to holy, not to mention the holy grail of leech maps, Skeles. Spoiler GS2 Wolf Spiders Gobies + Squids Himes Newts Skeles Fact is bishops are overpowered. But I mean I'm not complaining so much as making an observation, bishops are just overpowered in v62, period.
Hi just wondering. Does an ice wand work with ice lightning mage's element composition which is supposed to be 50% ice 50% lightning? Does it increase to something like 62.5% ice and 55% lightning = 117.5% damage increase total?
1/5 is Fire 2/6 is Poison 3/7 is Ice 4/8 is Lightning Elemental Wand 5 and 6 comes from NLC Gachapon. Elemental Wand 7 comes from CBD: Singapore Gachapon. Elemental Wand 8 comes from Ellinia Gachapon.
can i also ask about where the 70 ones come from? and if you know does paralyze benefit from having a 2/6 wand
Not sure about 1, but 2 comes from Showa, 3 comes from Sleepywood and Singapore I think and 4 comes from Ellinia I think.
dang, 1 is the one i really need first too, thanks for all the help though, ironman f/p mage if you didn't see and trying to plan forward
not sure if this is true but ive been directed towards shrine, I was planning on gaching there tomorrow anyway so lets hope for the best, ill let your know if it is
Update: after carefully watching the gachapon alerts I have tracked Elemental wand 1 to be located at PERION. *cries* just though id let you know
Just to clarify do the effects still work? And is the boost for ice/lighting better than the +2 int from the other wands/staffs.
also curious about the same thing and to add on, does the bonus 25% damage give you 25% of total TMA or just 25% TMA of the wand/staff
