In the long run it isn't meant to make you profit but to test your luck once or twice but play for too long and you'll most likely lose. On an average most people will lose money from it.

No he didn't, as the arcade doesn't correspond to a gambling game which is why the explanation was bad. Paying the service of a gamble isn't 50% of your bet, an arcade is not meant for gambling money but rather have fun for some of you money!

So when you go to an online poker site (now that's an analogy) does the system automatically take 50% of your bets for letting you experience the thrill of betting money and playing poker or only a few cents? So no you aren't paying 50k for the experience nor does it says anywhere that it does although some might do it for that reason it doesn't say it costs 50k for the experience, you are just losing 50k on an average due to having a lesser chance of winning but you are paying a total 100k for a slimmer chance to gain more. Most slot machines nowadays are made to bring in money, now they aren't rigged but of course the machines are going to make the owners earn money for having them or else why would they have them there wasting electricity so people on an average are losing more money than earning which you could say it's just you paying the owners for letting you experience the thrill. Now the machines aren't made to make 50% of the money people are betting on an average but rather just a small percentage(unless it's rigged).

You make it sound like it's one or the other. Who said it can't be neither or both? xD

I'm allowed to argue all I want because this isn't even an exploit.

Sorry, Matt, John and Amy, I'm going to leave this one to you, since the one bit of it I truly understood was Scott's comment that it was a good read on the toilet! >_< (I'm bad at maths, and when concepts like profit and loss come into it, I know it's time to leave it to those who understand it better!)

I'm with Kat, math and numbers do my brain in. :p
However, it just comes down to this- is it how the game is meant to be played? Probably not.
Is it an exploit or just smart use of game mechanics? Not sure. Could be both. Technically, if it's not supposed to work like that, then I'd consider it an exploit. It's not really that big of a deal if it's only a few thousand mesos, but to take advantage of something that isnt' how it's supposed to be played..

Sila stated it was considered an exploit, you stated it was exploitable. See the difference?

I don't like playing these kinds of games either, the only reason I accepted the bet, is because I do not see any way of this being exploitable to anyone for profit.
If you can prove to me how anyone would want to continuously use this exploit, then so be it.
The basis for Sila's reasonable explanation is because it's not how this game should be played, but that also doesn't prove it's exploitable, which the definition is, for profit.

To make this easier on you two- I personally would consider it both an exploit *and* exploitable. By the very nature of the word. You can take advantage of something like this. From what little I understand, dropping the mesos keeps you from losing money like you're supposed to because you can't go negative. While it's very minor, it's still something that's not meant to happen. It's not how it's meant to be played- and any possible way of earning more than what is intended means it's being exploited. If it can be exploited once, then yes, it is /exploitable/ by the sheer defintion of the word. It's a descriptive term.

Just try to find when i'm online, I was on the past 2 days or so because school just started and homework only takes me 5-6 hours a day. But it'll get rough when big projects come out. I'll get you (100k/3.1k=32 ap resets=288mill as 9mill/ea. I really don't have the time to buy it, so i'll just get you 288 mill when i'm on, but I can't guarantee or set a date/time for me getting on due to how busy I am with school atm. But if you can help me finish the iPad in classroom research essay 8000 words, i'll give you 2x the amount of resets worth lol. I may not log on for a while as well.

Either I win fairly or I lose fairy, and in this case, I lost fairly, what's there to stop a bet?

Note: Even though that 288mill is more than a large portion of my fortune lol.
