just like how there are better classes than others for bossing (cough cough buccaneer) there has to be classes that are better than others at CPQ basically classes that are better under early-game conditions however, i havent done CPQ nearly enough to know this because i just sit around on my lv16X characters in henesys can anyone who's experienced with CPQ1 or CPQ2 tell me which classes preform better than others in CPQ with relatively low funding?
From all the classes I played so far, bucc was by far the strongest one in 2nd job I'm not sure about CPQ, but when I did LMPQ on my brawler at that time it completly dominated the PQ and even killed strong mobs like the taurus in like 2-3 hits, so it could probably dominate in CPQ too and get a huge amount of points (though I borrowed it my gear from BM) I also leveled a spearman recently and while it's quite strong, it's only good if there are many mobs in front of it (cause slash blast got a very short range) and isn't as flexible and powerful as brawler (brawler got powerful 1vs1, mobbing skills, the ability to push mobs and group them together, stun and more). Even though I borrowed it my NL's gear (which is a bit stronger than the gear my bucc had) it's not nearly as strong as the bucc was. Other classes I played are BM/NL, BM is kinda decent with arrow bomb but the inability to hit things at close range is a big disadvantage and NL got good mobility and damage but no mob skills and the same close range problem. As for the mages I played a cleric and a fp mage, and both are quite bad. Cleric is very bad at CPQ because almost all the mobs there cannot be healed and you have to use magic claw, while fp lacks mobbing skills and the poison attack is only good against high lvl mosnters and not the PQ mobs.
I think at least for CPQ1, Cleric is really OP... Most unwashed jobs are gonna to die a lot while Cleric can heal others and you can ask opponents to summon monsters like Master Chronos. I didn't find Cleric is bad even in CPQ2 for the heal skill. (Though I only did one run so far.) Nearly for every run, I could contribute higher points than the rest of my party members' summed up. Spoiler
I only did CPQ1 like 2-3 times so I don't know about that PQ, but from CPQ2 from what I saw when I had clerics in my party they barely contributed at all and I got like 80% or more of the points. In CPQ2 people either spawn viking or the ghost pirate mob, and both of them are immune to healing so you have to use magic claw. Also healing there isn't really useful to justify the lack of damage
I/L mage is GOD tier in cpq2. Let losing pt spawn max vikings, go stand on the top platforms and spam thunder bolt. Easy 130% in 10 minutes.
In the process of gearing an I/L for CPQ1 myself, great mobbing with Thunderbolt and with enough funds MC isn't totally awful against rombots. However main reason I picked was for the OP mobility. If I had a second choice it would have been a brawler, although I have main'd a Bucc my entire Royals career, so was looking for a change.
I/L is not a suitable choice for anyone in cpq1. I don't know why I can only do half of what I can do outside. Maybe they're all set to be strong against to lightning. (bug?)
Really? Going to have to test and compare this myself. None of these monsters are Strong to Lightning outside of CPQ, so if this is true I will definitely be looking to make a big report... Really? Guess maybe I should have test3d
I remember back in maplesea robos had elemental resistance, but other than them none of the CPQ mobs did.
Considering you are washing your characters when needed, these are the strongest (who also need less wash): Mages, Buccaneers, Paladins, Heroes and Chief Bandits. The rest need to wash so are not equally strong in cpq.
Posted thread on elemental resistance (lightning) in CPQ. Damage is less than half inside CPQ, seems like a pretty big deal. Magic claw seemed about same, so seems to be resistance rather than boosted mdef. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/cpq-1-monster-resistance.132798/
Room 3/4: Fighter, Brawler, Cleric (?) Room 5/6: Assassin Cleric is a question mark cause need opponents to summon Master Chronos, can be messed up if opponents derped and summoned Trojans / Rombots
I have compared spearman, brawler and fighter in cpq1. (all Lv50 with normal equipments). Pure DPS: Fighter > brawler > spearman Fighter has fast attack animation, and rage* to increase +12 weapon attack (although you can use energizer or other attack potion before you go in the pq). And spearman has different attack animation that deals different damage. However brawler is easier to start with (better accuracy with 20 base dex and their Lv 35 Maple Knuckle is easy to obtain). Also, it has a skill to push the mobs, which sometimes can be really helpful. On the otherside, the maple sword (Lv 35 maple weapon for fighter) is only obtainable by Block Golem which has a very bad spawn rate. It is nearly impossible to see people selling on fm, hence you have to farm one on your own. Spearman will have to use the Lv 25 Pumpkin Spear (Accuracy +15) until they reach Lv 43 for Maple Impaler. Thus, if you are funded, a fighter can be a good choice.
What I'm curious to see is a Good-Godly scrolled blue rose spearmans' performance in comparison to a japanese map fighter. Polearms generally do more damage than spears in the 2nd job context as the slash/stab ratio is 3/2
well, my brawler and spearman all have been leveled up to 100s. My fighter is using a +85 att japanese map with 10att glove and +25 att pot (other eqs are junk), the best i can do is about 1900~2000cp with few stuns.
