Just wanted to share some feelings that you may or may not care about. Either way, I'm using my opportunity to do so anyway You, yes you. You are playing Maplestory the wrong way. You're a level 200 Warrior. You're good at this game. Really really good. You're proud of your 21 attack cape. It's a great cape. Perhaps the greatest cape you've ever worn. The cape is so great that you put your name on it. Because you don't have a woman to put a ring on instead. You shared this cape on the forum because that is what you are proud of. And that's nothing to be ashamed of. You're playing 10 hours or more every weekend, perhaps even more. You are someone who takes pride in Maplestory achievements. And again, that's perfectly fine. But what if I told you that you are playing this game wrong. Who are you to tell us how we should play MapleRoyals, Code? Well. I'm not in the position at all. This is more of a self-reflection from the past thread to share with you what I have been thinking about. I started playing Maple December 2005. And I was running really really fast as a kid to go home and play Maplestory JUST so I could spend my life playing Maplestory. And it was fun but it was not fulfilling. So how can Maplestory feel fulfilling? Treat Maplestory like a reward. Make a schedule and follow it. Stick to it. My schedule is really simple Spoiler: Schedule 06:00 - 07:00 Getting ready / Breakfast 07:00 - 08:00 Study or workout 08:15 - 16:45 Work 16:15 - 18:30 Study or read 18:30 - 19:30 eat & clean 19:30 - 21:00 programming / learn about anything I find interesting at that particular moment 21:00 - 24:00 do anything that relaxes me (Maplestory / movies) With a relatively busy schedule like mine, I guess not that impressive but anyhow... Playing Maplestory should be a reward. Don't play it like a lifestyle. Enjoy the music of Ludibrium. Enjoy the monsters and the unique art-style in the Temple of Time. Enjoy the quests whether they're useful or not. Enjoy the journey. Not the items you have. Enjoy the progress of starting as a little archer with a wooden stick, going all the way to an exciting Dragon Bow after 6 months, not 6 days. That's how my Maplestory experience became 10 times more fulfilling. Thanks for reading PS: Stop leeching
I have read that this depends on different aspects such as ''how much sleep are you catching up''. I find that if I sleep 6 to 7 hours, catching up feels good for me. Anything less, catching up doesn't really work. Sometimes I can sleep 4 hours after sleeping 8 hours for 5 days in a row. I don't know the science behind it, but I can't really find any science to proof it wrong either. I feel absolutely fine sleeping about 50~52 hours a week.
