Next Guide Advice and Poll

Halloween Candy hype is now slowly dying so now I'm going to focus on drafts for various guides. After chatting with a few fellow members, I've come up with a few ideas that might be interesting and I'd like to put my own thoughts into it. The problem is, I'm not sure what to start with because each these ideas and topics have their own merits, but I don't know which one to start off with.

Mastery Book Guide
At first, this seemed pretty straight forward, but after going a bit in depth, I found this topic to be very interesting, but requires a lot of research and networking with other players. Mastery Books are kind of a common question among players, but not as often as other topics. Ayumilove does have a comprehensive list on most Mastery Books, but some people have said it hasn't been 100%.

Revamped Beginner Guide
@Sila brought this to my attention because @Katsuruka original guide is slightly outdated. This guide can take a little while, but I find this one to be the most beneficial because this will answer many newer player's questions. If you choose this option, let me know what should be added.

End Game Weapon Guide
I think this is the most interesting in terms of veteran players because this is what most people strive for and the entire reason why they play this server. A lot of research, some slight math and knowledge of the market will be put into this, but since most prices of everything is pretty static, this is a relatively simple guide. This will take a little while because I want to discuss with veteran players on how they would go through with this.

Mage Upgrade Guide
A few people ask this question once they get stumped in their Bishop/Arch Mage-hood so hopefully I can provide my insight with this guide and create a debate on what's the optimal way to upgrade a mage.

Money Making Guide
The most controversal of them all. I've had people asking me to make one for a while, but recently, I've had people ask to not to make one. I'm somewhat neutral on this guide because I'm mainly making this for newer or some veteran players that get somewhat bored of their main meso making methods. There are going to be some methods that people would want to me leave out because they don't like the competition so I'm leaving it up to you.

I might eventually make all these guides in the future, bar the money making, so leave your opinion or own ideas. Thanks for voting!

 

Some advice about end game weapons or general weapon upgrading would be helpful. Some statistics, since you're good at stuff like that, about average attack of end game weapons vs highest possible with 'godly' system, when should you ws+10% a weapon. Should you ws+10 from the start if you have max perfect stats on it clean (Such as 59 attk sleeve, or 87 attk revolver, etc). I think a lot of people also have not been to the point where they actually need to think about this stuff too.

I still like the idea of the mastery book guide as well.
I'll be making my bucc guide once I'm done hunting for candy... Just need a few thousand more until I'm all done~ (World end & Bloody rose chair, and skull outfit...then done!)

 

I'd say make this guide, and bit by bit include your new guides. As there's quiete a lot of information about certain aspects of the game on the forums, it's also scattered in many different places. Having it in one location would be helpful, certainly if you'd decide to use the [anchor] feature.

 

^ I plan on making good use out of that anchor tag when I make my buccaneer guide.

 

When it comes to end game weapons, it's actually really simple as long as you go by market price, but if you farm your own weapons personally, it brings in a whole new perspective. I think I have all the best possible weapon attack numbers down, but I might be wrong on some (Hidden Street says Sparta's max attack is 103, but I've never seen a 108 attack Sparta ever). Mastery Book is very interesting, but let's be real...

BUCC GUIDE HYPE!

 

I'd love your help for some formatting if you have some time to explain it to me like a 5 year old.

I have all my guides on my signature so people can access them easily, but I'll toy around with the anchor code in due time.

 

I aggree with not making mesos guide just let them explore or think about game a little bit self serving everything is kinda stupid.

 

Unfortunately, not many others share your sentiments seeing as Money Making is the highest voted out of them all.

 

I'll give this thread about a week so people can decide. I'll be working on an ore guide while this is being held. If you'd like, please state why you're voting for what so I can have a good sense on what exactly I should be writing about and what to concentrate on.

 

Honestly I don't know what to believe when I read this. I've heard from people that 108 attack Sparta's have been seen/are at least possible. And from someone else (who claims his knowledge is passed on from Matt himself) is that godly item effect can give max +4 stats to an item, not +5. If this is true, then http://bbb.hidden-street.net is not a reliable source in most cases when it comes to min/max attack on weapons.

I'd personally see your take on End Game gear (even though it's been a while since THIS guide was updated, which would be extracted from our own databse), just out of curiosity.

 

This forum is going to be so filled with guides with the current amount of guide-writers and people wanting to write one.

 

I've never seen or heard of anyone obtaining a Sparta. I've mentioned this to a few veteran players and they haven't seen one either. Hidden Street does have somewhat accurate information like the Red Craven's max is 50 and the godly system gives +5 to that, making 55 Atk Red Cravens possible.

What's really weird is that a 59 attack Purple Dragon Sleeve is possible putting the reliability of Hidden Street and the godly system into question.

The current Mastery Book guide only has Warrior books, but I'll reread all those posts.

That's what I was trying to address. I believed what you believed, until a friend declared me wrong, and claiming that Red Cravens in fact could go up to 51 attack (or was it 52?) thus making the max possible with godly item effect be 56 attack.

 

That's probably because the other stats on that Red Craven were much more below average.

 

No point in remaking my guide for new players as I am actually in the process of updating it.

Also, if there's anyone who would like to use any of my ideas for a guide, please feel free to make a guide of your own! My only desire for making guides is that everyone is knowledgeable of everything that this server has to offer and the mechanics of this game whether it be the economy or DPS wise.

 

I think the guide that would be most appreciated is one that you're already working on - a Gachapon guide. I'm fairly sure that Ty (maggles) no longer has time to maintain his Gachapon guide, so I think it would be a good idea to ask him if you can use his guide as a starting point for yours (giving him credit for making the original guide, ofc!). He does still read the forum. I'm not aware of any information in his guide being outdated - it's just incomplete.

I don't plan on going very in-depth like @maggles did because that requires way too much work and in the end, it doesn't really matter. I am, however, trying to calculate and pinpoint how much people would get if they invest in a certain Gachapon by averaging out how much mesos they can expect per ticket.
