I have no problem logging into the game and playing, but sometimes when the game finishes loading, my computer just completely restarts itself. Other times, it will randomly restart when I'm playing Mapleroyals or when it is running in the background and I'm doing something else on my computer. I've already added MapleRoyals onto the firewall exceptions on my PC. Is there a way to make this stop happening? I'd love to get back into the game but this random restarting creates a very unpleasant experience for me.

Did you monitor your CPU usage and Physical memory via Task Manager?

Computers don't just randomly restart for no reason, and Royals doesn't do that
You can search the forums, but this is the only post that claims Royals will auto-restart computer without any proof

If you remember a specific date and time when this has happened, it could be you can get some answears in windows event viewer. Computers protect themself from overheating etc. by shutting down or booting and this is an instant action which the system probably doesnt have time to log into event viewer.
here's a article I found about making logs for shutdown caused by overheating which also is a thing you could do :

Using a vacuum cleaner to clear the dust of laptop / PC will reduce overheating + chances of auto-restart as well

We can wait for an official response from the Staff, but I'm sure they will agree that MapleRoyals doesn't auto restart PC

Also haven't heard of such issue in my 1 year plus of playing MapleRoyals

I dont always have an issue. But yours sounds like your integrated graphics might not be able to handle it?

Played RUST all night last night no problem, start MapleRoyals this morning. 5min in PC reboot.
Also noticed yesterday. Was watching youtube and then I started MapleRoyals client and the webpage in Google Chrome crashes. I think MapleRoyals somehow is corrupting other processes randomly. Maybe memory related.

I just checked the log files and it seems it might be an hardware issue.
    I'm checking my RAM now.

RAM seems to be fine.... Maybe it's a ryzen/ram compatibility issue.

Just crashed and rebooted pc in the past half hour.
Played rust for like 6 hours today without issue, 2x 10min mapleroyals = 2x crash & reboot lol.
So yeh, it's definitely mapleroyals. Imma try reinstalling it

works with one game and doesn't work with another game =/= other game is the problem. I have never heard of anyone having this problem before, there has not been any updates recently that would cause this issues afaik and seeing how your computer was just built it is quite likely the problem might be with your computer. Try to do some troubleshooting with your hardware.

Just going by Occam's razor. I've troubleshooted and ruled out the hardware already, but everything is pointing towards MapleRoyals.
And the PC is 100% stable, no crashes when not running MapleRoyals.

Also, I think it's somewhat hypocritical to say and I quote ''works with one game and doesn't work with another game =/= other game is the problem.'' and then go on to say that because you've never heard of this issue from others meaning that it's most likely an isolated case and therefore most likely an issue with my hardware. Using the same logic I'm simply say ''crashes only when running one program =/= most likely that program is the cause.''
I've defintely heard other people in the game having similair issues. And I don't think it's completely fair to dismiss this issue in such a way. I don't think everybody is invested enough to start making forum posts regarding their issues with the game.

Or maybe they do make a forum post regarding their issue but then it doesn't get any replies for a few months until somebody else replies to that thread saying they have the same issue. I guess most people nowadays just google their problem and hope they find an answer and if not, they just stop playing or go to another server.

Not saying I hadn't thought of it being a hardware issue, but I've already ruled out the hardware. I build PC's on a weekly basis and I've made sure it's not the hardware since I do have spare parts to swap out and troubleshoot with.

As of last night I've reinstalled the game and for now encountered no issues. Perhaps it's fixed. Who knows.

One thing is for sure, I'm too f*ckin invested in fixing this now .

I'll keep this thread updated regarding this matter.
