    Hey guys!

I will be starting a Bowmaster tomorrow, and since there are no guides on the forum here I would like to ask all the pros on here what I should and shouldn't do as this class.
I have tried a Ranger before which I got to level 87, so I know a bit of what to do.

From what I understand, most of the Bowmasters on Royals go STR-less until 70+ and then start getting STR-equips to get the 105 needed for the Nisrock.
Is there a viable alternative to this?

Is there anything else I should know that's specific to Royals?
I will of course HP wash as much as I can.

Looking forward to your advice, guys! :)

    Regards,
    NightcoreFtw/Soaring/PonPon

Don't add any points to final attack.

From my basic understanding of Bowmasters, you typically want to be Strless for the beginning levels because the Maple Bow are Fast speed which matter because you'll be using Arrow Rain. During 4th Job, Hurricane is not affected by speed. Typically, Bowmasters scroll for Str and the overalls are pretty cheap clean because they're dropped at Skeles.

A good end game HP to aim for is 12k which is the amount you need to tank Bigfoot at least once and Horntail without Hyber Body. Anything higher is more or less for aesthetic reasons. In order to get 12k HP, you'll need to do some early level washing so be prepared to buy some Orbis Exchange Items as well as CPQ Free Wins.

12k hp on a bm is really hard. With 110 int from equips at 50+ (and still a lot below level 50) I have 6.5k hp at level 130. BMs have far less hp than NLs.

Any base Int? How much HP do they get per wash for how much MP?

Hp gain is 18 on average I think (16-20), for 12 mp. I didn't have any base int (4+106), as they were guild int equips. HP doesn't bother me at all tbh, it's really only for vanity reasons, if you suck at bfing or if you don't have any drk friends (once you get ~5-6k for anego, pianus, etc).

you'll only need about 40 washes in order to HT at 155. You can get that much just by getting a zhelm and dep star at level 50. The other things to wash for are so that you get 5k for pap ~120 and 5.4k for anego at 130, but they aren't super necessary.

On the other hand, If you want to tank BF by 150, you'll need something like 330 washes. That's 4k spare MP, which means you'll need to wash with pretty solid int equips, as well as ~300 base.

Wow, so much input. Thanks a lot, everyone! :)

I doubt that I'll be washing to 12k hp as it will be extremely expensive. As long as I can do skeles at a reasonably early level and Angeo not too much later, I will be fine.
The trouble is just getting those INT equips... -watches my mesos dissapear at a devastating rate-

Finding a good amount of Int equips will be a fraction of how much you're going to need to spend on AP Resets. If you have some cool and trustworthy guild members, you can borrow their Int equips for a price and give them back once you're done.

I'm not sure what you need to skele - I just know I had it when I needed it, but I HP washed a bit and stuck at ulu II until 120, because that was before they nerfed the spawn.

The thing about washing for anego is that it's best to duo with a NL or sair. The only time you should be taking damage from anego is when you start the pin (and even that shouldn't be a normal occurance) and NL's especially, but sairs to an extent have an easier time pinning than you do anyway - you have to rely on puppet, which she 1-2 hits, and your timing in jumping her with a mount, where as they can FJ/recoil shot over the top of her EZ-PZ. If your puppet timing is great, even when you're doing the pinning you won't take a hit from her. So with that in mind, washing for anego is really a luxury.

As a NL, having a duo partner at Anego who knows what they're doing OR can take a hit...is really helpful. Dat shadow partner + MW rebuff. I've had so many BM partners who *always* lose the pin when I say 'rb' and FJ backwards to rebuff. Easiest way to get slapped....
