Is telecasting really necessary?

Leech sellers/buyers often emphasize the importance of telecasting.

Most of the time, sellers focus so much on telecasting that they do not care about the spawn timer and rotation. Similarly, buyers often ask "got tc?" instead of whether the leech seller knows good rotations.

As a result, most telecasting I've seen in-game are either unnecessary or worse than not telecasting.

For example, in the Ulu2 leeching map, it is much more efficient to make use of the spawn timer and clear mobs twice on each side of the map before teleporting to the opposite side. This way, most of the mobs are killed before the spawn timer resets. This can be done comfortably without telecasting.

However, most telecasters at Ulu2 choose to neglect this and just blindly telecast back and forth, spamming their genesis/meteors etc. Worse still, some miss the spawn timers, spam skills at empty parts of the map and end up killing less mobs.

To give efficient leech, one should aim to clear as many mobs as possible before the spawn timer resets. Telecasting should be used to achieve that aim.

However, right now many sellers are just using telecast to clear as many mobs as possible. The spawn timer part is not in the equation.

What do the experienced leech sellers/buyers out there think?

i dont telecast and i can leech faster than people who use telecast.
in my opinion you dont need telecast. just learn the spawn of the map and know which spot to use genesis
also alot of ppl see a monster dropped equips and they go all the way to loot it. dont do that. just wait for more drops and loot all at once later

Its a little bit of both really. To say telecasting is absolutely unnecessary in a map like Ulu2 isn't exactly correct since its one of the perfect maps for it. TCing in a flat map like that only benefits the caster by being able to move from one end to the other much faster. Of course, paying attention to the spawn timer and such also matters. I think many experienced leechers understand this though so it goes without saying. In my experiences, Telecasting does seem to noticeably give better results in an area like Ulu2.

However, in a place like skeles, Tcing becomes less necessary. Of course you can do extra work by TCing in a box formation, but its much less work and efficient to do the simple 3 spot rotation. Overall it depends on where you are casting, but the main perception behind it is more work being done.

Telecasting in Current Day Royals is DEFINITELY a MUST.
It Significantly improves the EXP Gains and even Drops since you have the opportunity to clear so much more mobs compared to leeching without telecasting.
"Most of the time, sellers focus so much on telecasting that they do not care about the spawn timer and rotation."
By even missing 1-2 Genesis while in the rotation frame would too easily improve the amount of mobs killed.

In ULU2 or even Petri Being in a flat Lane with a large amount of Mobs,
its actually pretty hard to miss while your aimlessly telecasting anyway.
Therefore, it being such a Must Have for the buyer which will always wants the best value out of their preciously earned mesos.

    Additionally, Quoted from This Thread
"From my buyers' feedback, telecasting ULU2 leech is 1/3 faster than normal leech. For example, one hour of telecasting ULU2 split leech will level you from 90 to 94 (400% total), while one hour of normal ULU2 split leech only level you from 90 to 93 (300% total)."
I made this very simple video, and it simply shows the difference on a mere few rotations around ULU2. The first half being Normal W/o Telecasting and the Second half, Telecasting.

From the telecasting Guide made by @Venin Here
This is a very clear video showing the EXP Gain which also have been calculated around the community that its roughly 20%~25% more then without telecasting

The other cases that imo does not need much telecasting would be as Sky Nest 2 doesn't requires much telecasting since a Single Genesis could easily hit 90% of the monster

Yes, he is getting more exp from telecasting because he was not caring about rotation and spawn timer when not telecasting.

Also, if you look carefully at his telecasting, he is sometimes unable to clear all/most mobs before the next spawn. Because he will:
    - Cast genesis on one side
-Mobs spawn shortly after on that side
    -Ignores those mobs
    -Telecast to other side
-Tries to telecast back to kill those previously spawned mobs
-Fails to do so because spawn timer had reset

So he ends up killing less mob before the next spawn. He could have easily killed all mobs with telecasting if he took into consideration for the spawn timer.

That is my point. Telecasting without much consideration for spawn timer is inefficient.

Also, his video does not prove that telecasting is better than not telecasting. Because he was not doing the correct rotation when not telecasting.

The correct rotation is clear twice on each side before teleporting to the other side. Instead, he cleared three times across the whole map, missing the spawn timers.

I think this video needs to be blamed for misleading people into thinking that telecasting > not telecasting.

This video only proved telecasting > not telecasting + not doing good rotations.

Its a bit difficult to tell if you're trying to downplay the utility of telecast or just argue its importance compared to spawn timer and rotation.

Its not difficult to understand that all factors together provide the most optimal leech in a map like ulu2. I have tested the difference in exp myself using both methods and found TC to provide more exp overall, rotations kept in mind.

Yes, you are correct that optimal leech isn't just about blindly TCing across the map. Spawn timer and rotations are definitely important to providing optimal exp. Most experienced leechers I believe seem to be aware of that. However, you should also consider how dynamic leeching is considering we're all human, so you can't also fault the leecher for messing up the timers or even telecasts at times.

If you ask me though, I think its worse that some players have the perception that level differences have such a huge impact on leech compared to all these other factors.

As a leech seller myself who has been selling leech for god knows how many hours, I can say that telecasting is indeed overrated. There's just seriously no point using tc if 50% of the time you are hitting the air. The key is knowing good rotation and spawn timer. I sell ulu2 leech mostly and I can safely say as a non TC er I give better exp as to those who do according to my buyers. I even have my personal vouch list.

Ulu2 is really the simplest case here, and doing the proper rotation(while never missing it) requires you to telecast.

I’m personally more of a skele leecher, but the story is the same.
To be able to do the rotation continuously, you need to be able to telecast, otherwise you’ll never be able to position yourself correctly to be ready for the respawn.

Thus, yes, telecast is necessary, but it doesn’t mean once you know how to telecast, you can randomly spam ult while tc’ing all around the map. You also need to learn the rotation and then combine both for optimal results.
