Hi all, I am new here and really looking to get involved playing old school maple again though an issue keeps stopping me from doing so. Firewall cannot connect to server.. Before anything I will explain what I have done: - Turned off firewalls - Turned off windows defender - Added exceptions for all the .exe's containing within Maple Royals folder - Flushed the DNS/Renewed Ip's/Netsh'd - Reinstalled the game / Restarted PC multiple times. Now I though to myself.. Hmm maybe logging in from Australia is the problem so I purchased a VPN to see if connecting from any other country or atleast making it seem so will do the trick. Funnily enough it did.. Now the problem is do I have to keep using the VPN to play because I am unable to do other work which require high bandwidth at the same time.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kindest Regards.
I'm not very good with technical help aside from what I've seen so far in previous threads, if the VPN fixed your issue you may have to keep using it just to play Royals we have tons of players from around the world who have to use VPNs too haha
Have you also tried restarting your modem / router to resolve the network issue? Although it's possible to play Royals with VPN, you would need to pay extra for a dedicated IP address (static) as you might get issues with logging in if using dynamic IP address
If that is the case then I share the frustration they are all probably feeling. I have restarted the Modem/Router many times to no avail. I purchased ExpressVPN so for the amount I'm paying I'm certain they will have a static I.P option which I'm guessing should be already in place.
Well, that throws a spanner in the mix. Either way it is still working so I will just play until my time comes to an end!! Any ideas on a static I.P VPN provider?
