I'm going to be hosting a giveaway where I give away all of my stuff. But, rather then hosting a boring jump quest or a drop party, I'm going to be doing a trick or treat game. The concept is pretty simple: I'm going to have a character online in a map somewhere in MapleWorld. However, you won't be able to do /find MeatGrinder because the account hiding won't be MeatGrinder. The account hiding will have some goodies that will be given away to players. If you think you're in the map with my character, just say "Trick or Treat." If the character in the map is my account, I will give you a reward depending on how quickly you found me. I'm going to have multiple accounts with different in game names so people won't be able to just /find the previous character name and win another reward. The concept of this giveaway is pretty much like hide and seek, but instead of giving the rewards away to one to three players, multiple people will be able to obtain a reward from this event. I'm not sure as to whether I should give 100m or an item to each person that finds me, or if I should give money away in 25-50m intervals so more people will get a reward from this event. I'm going to let you guys comment on this post and decide what kind of intervals I should give the money/items away in. Items being given away: +2Dex, 9Accuracy, 0 Slot White Raccoon Mask Clean Deputy Star(+5 of all stats, weapon/magic defense, hp/mp, 3 slots) Other Random Scrolls,Items/Etcs varying in price (Note: If you are rewarded scrolls, I will not give you 1 5m scroll. Instead, you will receive multiple scrolls adding up to a price over 25m.) Around 700m mesos being given away in multiple intervals (either 25m, 50m, or 100m intervals) Rules for this event: 1. If I suspect a player that has found my hidden character to be going to the character on multiple accounts or telling people where the account is, I will not give them a reward. 2. Don't harass people during this event in any way possible. 3. Follow MapleRoyals rules. I have not set a date yet as to when I'm going to be doing this event. I'm planning on hosting this event sometime next week, preferably near Halloween or on the week-end after Halloween. But first, I want to see your opinions on the event and what kind of intervals I should reward players in. If you'd like to donate items for me to give away in this event or have your own account set up giving stuff away, feel free to do so.
I think it's a pretty nice idea, considering that it adds some more value to social activities between people without a gamemaster having to participate. Are you going to hide in different channels as well?
I'm probably going to host the event in channel one or host it on a specific channel. I don't want to hide my character on a random channel and have people searching through multiple channels in each map.
Sweet idea, I'll definitely participate. I think 50m rewards will be the most fair, not to the point where selling leech is more worth it and not to the point where only 7 people win mesos.
Alright, I'm going to give away the mesos in 50m intervals during the event. Also, if anyone needs pots/illbis/hwabis or ores (not power crystals) like power elixers and stuff, pm me while I'm online and I'll give you some pots/ores. Do you guys want this event to be hosted on Halloween or the weekend right after Halloween? I don't have time to do it between Monday-Thursdays, so I can only do it on Fridays or the weekends.
I've decided that the event is going to be held on November 1st (on a Saturday). I can't confirm what time I'll be online, but I'll be on between 12:00P.M. eastern and 10 P.M. eastern.
I did this once (with smaller rewards), was a lot of fun! Best of luck, I'll try to be there (even though that's 3-5AM for me.. :x)!
Even though that's around the times I usually play, I'll be drinking and or sleeping for the majority of it. Because halloween is awesome. Good luck to everyone!
