Why do all NL start Dexless and end up getting Dex later? I dont get it because a maple skanda starts with 15 less attack than a red craven so is equiping a red craven worth getting all that Dex? The maple skanda is also faster than the red craven, so that has to be taken into account as well. I just dont understand the logic of getting dex instead of just staying dexless if anyone can explain that would be great. Thanks
End game is pretty easy to get enough DEX from equipment to wear craven at 25 base And yes, the increased attack is usually worth the needed DEX
Because DEX is too easy to get lol You have stuff like zhelm/scar hat, HTP, top/bottom, rings, belts/medals, face/eye accessory and so on and all of them give some DEX clean Also some items can only be scrolled with dex and not luk unless you CS them (like helmets, bottoms, face/eye accessory) so even if you used maple claws you'd still probably have a helmet and bottom scrolled with DEX (unless you try to get a luk bathrobe or something) Just with these items with a decent amount of DEX you can already get like 120 DEX in total, and from there getting to 140 isn't really difficult and losing 20 LUK is a lot better than losing 10-15 atk from wearing low lvl claws. Add a earring with DEX and some above average dex gear and you could stay dexless and still wear craven too Also about the attack speed, there is no difference between fast 4 weapons (like craven or sleeve) and faster 3 weapons like skanda because both of them reach max speed with booster
Untradeables and attack gear. Equips like Zhelm/Scar helm, HTP/MoN may take a while to get with high DEX and LUK stats. Attack equips very rarely have DEX on them as well so night lords upgrading their equipment will lose their DEX capes and shoes to get weapon attack equipment. So in the meantime some NLs may choose to add base DEX so they do not have to scroll helms or wear DEX improving equips when they could have attack every time they reloot them and such.
[QUOTE="Also about the attack speed, there is no difference between fast 4 weapons (like craven or sleeve) and faster 3 weapons like skanda because both of them reach max speed with booster[/QUOTE] Is this true? How does that work? Does booster give 2 attack speed stages or something? @Ayane RIP failed quote
Booster gives 2 speed. Max speed is 2 so whether its speed 3 for skanda or 4 on craven, it ends up being speed 2 since thats the limit.
That 15 attack is a huge amount at high levels. Attack adds more damage based on your LUK total. Like others have said, reaching the DEX requirement is quite easy to do with the right gear.
