Notice Do not use Public VPN services for MapleRoyals

A ban, if I'm not wrong and if nothing changes to the ban system, is handled on 3 factors: Your account (common sense here), your IP address (self explanatory, because banning your network is as good as banning your IP address) and your MAC address (mentioned by a few GMs when dealing with ban appeals or ban clarification). So if any of the factors is met, you won't be able to access the game.

If you're using public VPN which has been banned from MapleRoyals, you'll be prompted a message saying you've been banned, regardless whether you're online or not. In this case, your account and MAC address is not banned, but the IP address is. To resolve this, simply use another VPN, and make sure it's private.

You can, provided those public network you mentioned isn't banned from Royals.

I got a good idea that is using vps to build vpn for yourself,and those companies selling vps like digitalocean、Linode、Bandwagonhost etc offer private ip to their every customer.

Just curious, does this apply to voting as well? I think my ip's dynamic so sometimes my gtop vote doesn't get through. Wondering if I can do it again using a vpn if it's still keeping to the <8k nx total a day rule.

 

In general we don't recommend using public VPN for anything related to MapleRoyals so that includes playing the game and voting. It applies to voting since we also keep track of the IP you're voting from.

Is there a list of VPNs that are not banned? I currently have to use one sometimes in order to access things where I'm at (if needed I can explain why). I just want to make sure I do not get banned due to it.

You need to also get your own private IP address(I think most of them call it "dedicated IP services" if you want to google that), the free ones assign a random IP address to you whenever you use them.
