I plan to HP wash my gunslinger and I wanted to know how to go about doing it, how much hp I should plan to get with x amount of int, etc. I'd like to wash it a ton but I don't know how much extra HP I can actually obtain as a gunslinger. What do I do?
depends how heavy you wanna wash & if you can leech it till lvl 150~160.. max int or 500 int till lvl 160 and you are set for like 15k base hp i imagine.. my sair is 12k hp on lvl 190 and im fine with that (still washed a ton)
Each wash gives you ~18-20hp, and ALWAYS requires you to lose 16mp. For each 10 INT you have, you gain an extra 1mp per level up. You can do the math for how much hp you want. Also know that you will, as Kingpin said, have to leech to 15x ish since due to putting most if not all AP into INT, as well as farm over ~500-600 AP resets for washing/removing the INT when you're done washing. I'd also like to add that Corsairs have the highest base hp among all ranged, and can do all bosses at the minimum recommended level while only washing extra mp from job advances/INT from gear like Zhelm/Dep. Do what you wish, but imo its a gigantic hassle for little reward.
Worth it if it was only for teh swag Also if you want to do BGA/Boss comfortably its required.. + who knows what kind of content will be here in the future.. calling hpwashing a 'gigantic hassle for little reward' is kinda silly
There is NO reason to wash for The Boss runs fyi... I duoed it with a Bishop just fine and washing didn't help at all. I think UrbanJuggernaut just roughly translated what I told him, with one exception: Corsairs get 16-20hp per wash. But yeah, Corsairs have no need to wash. It is purely a luxury that I wouldn't waste much time on. It's much too expensive to really be bothered with unless you or (someone else) is providing a good amount of funding for your character. Concentrate on more important things. HP washing was not something intentionally implemented by MapleStory, which is why you are able to kill every boss in the game (except the currently bugged Papulatus) without ANY washing. It's really just wasteful and bothersome, so don't worry about it.
You do realize APresets drop from any mob on this server? 'wastefull and bothersome' 'gigantic hassle' are we playing the same server ? HPWashing here is easy, yes I suppose you could call it a luxury but its a damn nice one =).. Also I can survive BGA/Boss hits with HB, you cannot, hf dieing 7gazillion times . Cute picture, but only afk Corsairs should get touched by Bigfoot. You know you can attack from far away right? Cool perk of being ranged. You do realize that AP resets don't drop 100% from every mob you kill right? Assuming you ran with like 320 INT (for double washing) thats 316 AP resets JUST to get your INT back to base 4, not to mention the 2 you need per level up to 15x/16x for washing? Farming 600+ AP resets is "wasteful and bothersome" and "a gigantic hassle". "BUT YOU CAN BUY THEM FOR 5M EA!!!1!!1" I'd MUCH rather spends all that tedious time/money on equips and playing my character than grossly wasting it so I can take a Bigfoot touch at 190 lmfao. HP wash to your hearts content, but its a mild luxury at best. EDIT: inb4 make INT equips, still a waste of money.

The SS is just proof of HPWashing result, also if the server or you lags, you will get bodied by BF! aka its really usefull to be able to take a hit =) Double washing doesent work, you will still need a total of 1000~ apresets, which is easy enough to get =) its a long-term goal and its very much worth it. I don't lag, invest in a better computer? Pretty sure a VTech could run Maplestory with no problems, don't see how you could be having problems. Its not worth it. Its a mild luxury for ranged who don't know how to maintain their distance. 6k hp at 200? LOL I have 5k now at 120, and I haven't even washed my 4th job advancement mp. So much time wasted farming 1k AP resets, I guess it doesn't really matter when you leech to 200...
A) I said I was talking about The Boss, buddy and since your OP-ness didn't really help us get to him, I don't know why you're being so sassy. I think I died three times when Christine and I duod the boss and that's when he hit me for 30k+ so I don't think your cute little HP washing will do much there. I did actually HP wash my character, and I regret it. You also need to stop being so condescending since you didn't even make your character, Toyota did

Just to clarify, you would still die at BGA with your HP. It would stun + hit you twice. We haven't done the run, because all of us haven't been online at the same time.
