My dearest royalers, I'm sorry to say that I had a terrible experience being online for a couple hours today. I wanted to host a zrun, but due to a lack of guildies wanting to come I had to improvise. The result? Flame. Lots and lots of flame. No one wants to run with anyone. Apparently everyone hates everyone outside their guild. Everyone has their stupid opinion about someone and they can't get over it for some reason. I'm here to tell you all a very important thing: THIS IS A VIDEO GAME. I want to play a game to have fun. To forget about all the worries of the world for just a bit and just have some damn fun. I'm sure at least some of us have somewhat normal lives and feel the same way, but I'm here to address all the others: video games are supposed to be entertaining, for everyone. Not just you (and your friends), but for everyone. So how about we all start to HAVE some damn fun, huh? How about we all get our heads out of our asses, grow a pair and start respecting each other again and try to make the best of it? Sure you can not like something about someone, but how about you confront that person face to face and try to come better out of it, instead of gossiping all over the place and making the issue sound a lot bigger than it actually is? Discuss. P.S. take 'everyone' with a grain of salt, there's some lovely people out there, you know who you are ^.^
It may be a video game; but the players behind the screens are real people and there online persona is their uncensored persona. Especially in a game like Maple, there's next to no RP'ing potential. So if you meet a douchebag in game, they're probably not the nicest person out of game.
If it was only directed to you I wouldn't have made a thread about it in its entirety. But sure, you were included. Apparently you know that some people are hating on you and, even if i don't know why, there's absolutely no reason to keep that on the down low. Confront those who have a problem with you, and you might just fix it. @Saki: The flame wasn't directed towards me. I was just the talking pole recieving all the fuss. But next time, ppl pls, just flame the person you wanna flame instead of this gossip nonesense. I don't like it.
i don't know why you're complaining when half the people in AllStars think they're jesus and better than everyone else because they are in the most popular guild. lol
Woahwoah... Woah... Woah... Woahhhhwoah. I don't know who exactly that was directed at but I'll have you know that just because you're jealous your guild isn't named after a Smash Mouth song doesn't mean you have to hate on ours.
While I feel this thread is going to turn into a flame war soon. To stay on topic everyone just needs to stop taking themselves too seriously.
Drama will ALWAYS be a part of any online game. But I have to admit lately it's been getting out of hand here. It's come from Guild dramas to personal insulting, hate, class hate ("I can't grind because I'm this job", "That job is OP", "This job can't get coins"... blablabla), jealousy etc. If you wanna play a game and insult people go play CoD with a bunch of 13 year olds, all they do is insult each other. I'm sure you'll find a place there. First things first, all this class-related drama. How many of you actually played (pre) v62 Maplestory? Because this is how it was, bishops may be good grinders once they get passed 120 but that doesn't mean you need to hate on them? There's been quite a decent amount of people on this server who showed that non-bishops classes can grind like crazy. It's all about attitude and motivation. Crying about it will only make it worse. As for the new coin system, it's been said repeatedly: This is balanced! I don't get where all this "I can't get coins" comes from? Mages can get NX/Gacha/meso way more easily by just grinding. Bossing is for everyone, maybe bishops can't do BF or anego, but they can do area bosses. They can join Zakum runs and they are needed for other classes for HS. As for all this personal/Guild drama, I'm not sure what's going on between guilds and I know there will always be drama but I've always been able to get along with everyone up till now. It's all about your attitude and how you look at things. Many of my friends quitted this game way before it exploded and became really active. But now the few people that are left are thinking about quitting because of the way this community has evolved. Which I get, what's the point of playing if it's all drama? People have been reporting others for the most trivial things. Instead of reporting/insulting/making drama try and talk about it first (see why/how something happened before taking conclusions) . At least that's how I have always acted. As for this thread, I AGREE 100% with Dustin. It's not everyone, neither is it one person who is to blame here. I'm sure most of you won't even bother to read my post and even if you did it won't probably won't change much. But I hope that at least a few people here understand what I mean and get where I'm coming from. My main point of this discussion is that people are talking behind each others' backs a lot. I don't want to force people to be 'fun', i just want us to stop insulting and gossiping around like a bunch of 13 y/os, we have CoD for that. Being friendly towards everyone isn't an option for a lot of people. That's fine, but keep your mouth shut then. Even tho this is still the internet, this isn't 4chan or the youtube comment section, it's a game with cute animated characters and monsters. How does the category 'being a dick' have anything to do with that?
Agree with Thom 100% <3. Please don't hate on each other- let live and let live yes. :> Competitive rivalry is faine but not when it gets out of hand into serious childish meanness. (also, don't force people;including FRIENDS to blacklist someone just because you do- everyone is entitled to their own opinion peacemakers ftw) And and and for the 100000000th time (yes this has been said by many ppl but I thought i'd reiterate as a bishop :<) if you think being a bishop is s0 ezpz and op-ed and hax go make your own and see how people abuse you at bosses for hs/heal/ress/dispel and scold you when you don't do x skill at exactly the right moment. (+ all the begging for leech and anger/annoyance/flaming when you dont leech said person) Also go get your own bishop to 200 and see how easy and oh so amazingly interesting and fast it is (to the amazingly nice people who have respected bishops and treated us as equals and not just hs tools, ILY to bits, thankyewsosososmuch. COOKIES4YOU. I am grateful that I have so many of you on my bl and guild (yes guild there are nice ppl in allstars I swear even if I can be mean D and there are defo more that I dont know <333333333333) Lastly
