There will be a update to v83 soon?

I saw user Plenty talking on this thread about a upgrade to version 83. Is that a real thing?

I don't read anything about an upgrade to v0.83 in that thread. You may have been confused by:

 

What did he mean with "skill patch"?

 

I'm guessing that some skills will be buffed/nerfed/changed to how they were in v0.83. I'm new here myself so I have no clue, but that is what I think his comment implies.

 

It's been discussed a handful of times in the past (and generally agreed upon) that there should be some rebalancing of the classes, so that classes like shadowers, paladins, etc are more competitive in terms of damage. The easiest way to do that would be to change the damage %s and cooldown numbers on most of the skills to a slightly more updated (v83) version of maplestory.

There's not really any timetable for this to happen, or even any assurance that it WILL ever happen. If it does, we don't know how many skills will be changed and to what degree, and there's no way of knowing when it will be. It's not anything that you should be either worried or excited about for the time being.

 

There was a comprehensive chart on all the upgrades, but I know that Boomerang Step gets a significant drop in cooldown.

That would be nice, some classes on v62 are truly unbalanced. Thanks for the replies.
