• Hey guys, welcome to the omok tournament! The goal for this tournament is to have intense games, win prestige, and make new friends!

• Many elements from this post were inspired by this one (https://royals.ms/forum/threads/omok-tournament-2-0-feedback.119056/), so thank you Jake for setting the precedent and template.

• Please note that because this is our first tournament and we are at max capacity, participation is invite only. If you want to join, please send a message in game to Confidence.

Rules and Details

• When is it? Tournament will be hosted on Sunday 02/16/20 at 2:00 AM GMT. Use this link to calculate what time and day that is in your timezone (https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/?pl=1&lid=0,1880252,8&h=1880252&date=2/16/2020|6). Below is the time converted into USA and Singapore/Taiwan time:

  PST: 6:00 PM Saturday 02/15/20 (9:00 PM for East Coast)

• Where are we playing? Tournament will be played in Ch 5 Henesys Game Zone. It's the place all the way to the right -> of Henesys Park, and looks like this:
  
  
  EDIT: To better convenience everyone, we will actually be playing in Ch 5 Lounge.

• Who goes first? For the first game, the player with the lower omok points (2xxx number) will get to decide who goes first. From then on, the loser of the last game will get to decide who goes first. If the person going first is not board-owner, then simply wait out the first turn so that they can go first.

• Double 3 wins allowed? Yes, if you win using the double 3 trap it will count as a win.

• Each match will be best 2 out of 3.

• Bracket will be double elimination. Here is a link if you need a refresher on what double elim is (https://www.printyourbrackets.com/doubleelimination.html). Essentially you climb up the Winner's bracket until you lose, at which point you play in the Loser's bracket (if you lose twice you're out). The finalists of the Winner's and Loser's brackets vs in the final round.

• If participant does not show up at the agreed upon time, they will be disqualified and their opponent will automatically move to the next round.

Prizes

• Prize pool will be as follows, if people donate I will add all donations to the prize pool:

1st Place: 300m
2nd Place: 200m
3rd Place: 100m​

• Current donation pool to be added to prizes = 650.04m

• Since I am hosting, if I end up in 1-3rd place, my prize will be given to the next person in ranking (eg if I win second, 3rd and 4th place will get 200m and 100m, respectively).
