The chance of dcing increases with the quality of your graphic card. Nvidia is infamous for its incompatibility issues in royals (too advanced). In order to avoid dcing, you should GFX when the HP bar appears and whenever a body part is killed. If you still dc after gfxing, you might need to use vmware.
