Apologies if this gets a little messy. So I've got a lvl 58 Hunter STR-less Hunter that has done no washing of any kind. Sitting on about 1773HP/1124MP. I've been reading more about washing now and how essential it is for attackers if they want any chance of bossing at a reasonable level. Question is: Am I too far gone? Should I just restart with a new BM? Maybe try another attacker like a Spearman (which apparently needs much less funds to boss) For what it's worth I've got a lvl137 Bishop too so I can leech. Thanks in advance! Any advice moving forward is really appreciated!
for your hunter, i would say that you can still enjoy zakum at 140 as per always, but if you are planning to do HT, you have to play with Drks, otherwise the washing game might be a little too late, as you would need around 7.3k hp (+500 more from hp quest to get you to 7.8k) by level 150~160 to do HT without HB google shiyui's hp washing calculator if you need a resource to check how many ap resets, int required, etc., and hp washing guides on minimum hp requirements if you would like to get a attacker that needs light/no washing at all, with a low upkeep and funding cost i would recommend playing a hero instead of a drk (i have both at 160+) ginger ales, honsters and the lack of counting hits and HP makes hero much easier and cheaper to keep alive VS a Drk on berserk with cheese, milks and ice cream pops heroes and paladins have the highest natural hp in the game, and without any washing they already have around 9k hp by 120 (more than enough to survive HT magic damage) if you ever fancy a 30k hp hero, you would need a total of 100 int to reach 29k by 160 (get the last 1k with hp quest), or total of 70 int for 29k at 180 - which are not too unreasonably priced (1b budget for the gears should be enough) but if you really want a washed warrior, drks just need 40 int to reach 18750 (30k with HB) by 140 and around 140 APR which makes them extremely cheap to wash however, spears are more expensive than 2h swords for similar specs, so the costs are offset to be around the same FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE if you are planning to train up normally, heroes 2nd and 3rd jobs are extremely sad, due to poor reach and recharging combo attacks Drks have a similar 2nd job, but in the 3rd job, hybrid Drks are easy to train and cheap to fund because of pole arm dragon fury - some may argue not to add pole arms, cuz they are not used much/at all during 4th job, but if you wish to enjoy the 3rd job grind and the early training for 4th job, i would recommend hybrid Drk
also heroes feel kinda useless untill 140, when both brandish and advanced combo attack get maxed Drk gets strong real quick when you add berserk to at least 20 (40% hp activation), and when you get beholder to add mastery, so they feel very strong from 127~135 after that then its gonna be around the same feeling for both in terms of power then the laziness kicks in, brandish reaches so far and the low focus on the hp bar, heroes ez
Thanks for the advice! It feels like it would be a bit of a waste to continue my Hunter if I'm locked out of HT as the end game boss. Your recommendation of a Hero instead is interesting, but I'm just worried about potential demand considering they don't have desirable party skills and I'm unsure on whether they're a high-enough DPS class to be a consistent bosser. However if those worries are untrue and the main drawback is the 2nd and 3rd job training then I might very well create a Hero as I can likely leech him to 4th Job anyway. Do you have an estimated figure on how much it would cost to fund a decent Hero as well as the level needed to be able to start going on most boss runs (excluding HT).
i would say a decent starting gear to start bossing with friends and guildies, without feeling too useless would be as follows common between drk and hero gloves - 15WA is around 1.5~1.6b, otherwise a 10WA is 50m cape - 6 WA is around 500m ish shoes - 4WA is around 500m ish earrings - 10 dex is around 50-60m, recommend as a placeholder till you can scroll a nice set of anniversary earrings eyewear - ~2 str for around 200m~300m? kinda random and maybe lucky prices/unlucky, etc. face - sweet first love, free unless RNG strikes warrior top n bottoms are reeeeaaallyy erratic on the prices try getting at least a 20str+ top for around 50~200m (kinda cheap at times really) bottomwears with 18~22 dex, kinda forgot the prices cuz they fly all over the place, think it was around 200m zak helm - VIP service + 10 60% scrolls for around 125~140m a run, estimated 2 runs for a decent zak unless RNG in favour/wrath HTP - both can survive without washing at 120 anyways, so 400~500m VIP service 127WA ST - 1.5~1.8b ish 118WA sky ski - 1.5~1.8b ish do adjust according to your needs though, but the priority are the weapons also add 23 dex for either to cut back on the early game unfunded grief, you can still hit 999 str by lvl 200 anyways
forgot to mention about the levels normally a level 145 hero/Drk is more or less good to go for krex and zakum runs priority in skill points, most important -> less important 1 rush -> 30 brandish -> 25 advanced combo attack -> 20 stance -> 10 maple warrior -> max ACA and stance i would say that heroes are good for zakum runs cuz of brandish's insane vertical and horizontal reach will always hit 3 arms, as compared to Drk spear crusher which will normally hit 2 arms and occasionally hit 3. as for the dps on single targets, i can tell you that my hero is faster at killing pap than my Drk, when both have very similar equipment, funding and levels, both characters on energizers/ ciders, and for krex, when i do dual client runs, my hero whites my Drk the long running debate on which is stonger will always stay, but i can tell you the margins depends on the player and what they are fighting - more dispel - heroes do trash cuz you will need to rebuild combo - pinning - heroes will shine more cuz of brandish's regular hit intervals - standstill - this one depends on your focus really, as to optimize damage for hero, you will need to fire off the sword panic as it is close to blinking on the timer, and brandish casts are much faster, meaning that the 100 attack limit will be reached fast, and you will have to move around, otherwise the game will jam up your attacks - movement - brandish casts fast and hits hard, coupled with haste for the amazing feeling of jump attacks and rush, you will move very far - mobbing - this one goes to Drk, as the stability of damage, along with the burst will make 1hko easier with spear crusher, and the amazing reach of dragon fury makes farming at ToT, himes, etc. pretty easy don't worry too much about providing HB for guild runs at zakum, but for horntail runs its a mix, but i would say that quite a lot of people have their characters washed if they have an attacker at level 160 the only time where HB is really needed is when you are planning join HT and zak services
Level145 seems alright and I'm surprised by the comparisons between them. Last question: I've just created a warrior now, is there anything I need to start planning for now? I know you mentioned little to no washing is required for Heroes but still, is there anything I need to be aware of now (perhaps adding a certain amount of Dex or even just a little washing?) Thank you!
23 dex would be a good start for a low funded hero, STS requires 120 dex to be wielded maybe prepare a affordable/clean soul rohen (april is coming up soon, golden pigs for that fast 120) get ready owls and a piece of paper/ notepad document to record owl prices for the following items, you will have to work everything out try searching for some int gears if you would like to wash, some of these can be shared with your bishop stuff that is more essential that can be used for both characters for a loooooooong time bathrobes with around 20 int: work with your budget, but this is quite essential yellow adventurer cape : try getting around 10-15 int out of this, not too expensive iirc 16 int green bandana :~150m-170m 5~8 int earrings: 50m~200m (owl single earrings, amethyst earrings and red emerald earrings if you want to, but the first 2 are more common) (5 int) deputy star : it will be cheaper to buy BF toe services (15m each), HH service (kinda random, maybe give the guy 3m +HS?), owl on the FM soiled rags, and lucky charms total would be roughly 50m~80m ish, otherwise you can buy a dep star for like 150m ish (just owl, you will save more) 5 int yellow work gloves: got mine for like 130m ~3int yellow snowshoes: random again, would use another owl for this you will get +65~70 int out of these (reach that total 70 int goal) optional stuff for washing extra for your warrior, or expensive stuff to share 7 int wand or umbrella : 50m? kinda random 5 int raggedy cape (optional): managed to buy 2 sets at 5m each before, but the prices are reeeeeaaallly random maple shield: i bought my 7int 12MA with an owl for like 600m, so its pretty expensive but in the long run you will need it for both characters white raccoon mask: optional as its ultra expensive (get ready to fork over 500m for like 4~6 int or so) this will be another 10~25 int set aside 100m for the VIP zak service for your warrior at level 50, your hp should be more than enough as you can see the washing for warriors is pretty easy if you are sharing equips with a bishop character you will not need to wear all the amazing equips on your bishop for low level leech, even with genesis 10, you should be able to 1 shot everything until ulu city leech starts (level 85 ++), even then a 2 shot is still quite reasonable as for adding int, you can refer to the earlier goals, where a total of 70 int is enough for 30k hp by lvl 180, and getting htp at lvl 120 helps even more you will miss out on a little bit of int at the earlier levels, but if you get over total 90 int by level 50, you will be able to reach 30k hp by ~lvl 170 if you use HTP at lvl 120 side note: power guard is very strong in increasing survivability against touch damage, decreases 40% of touch damaged received, so if you keep it up regularly, you do not need to worry about things like getting 1 shotted by zakum's touch damage achilles 30 will reduce the damage taken from touch damage by a further 15% (its actually 85% x 60%, so you will only take only 51% touch damage) my stand is to keep the int goals in mind, maybe keep around 10~15 base int at most, and take it slow on the washing, like 1 ap reset a day from voting if you really want to get 30k hp, otherwise only start washing at 160 when you want to run HT, and the mp is accumulating (24k touch damage by the tail, power guard + achilles reduces it to ~12-13k) don't worry about reset mp directly into hp, the system will show +20 hp only, but i can assure you that you will get the regular 50+hp per ap when you do so (peeps on the forums have tried it before, you can search around if you feel uneasy, and i have personally confirmed it on my own hero)
Alright so from what I understand, I think my plan would be as follows: Invest in some of the int equips you mentioned, put them on my Hero (it's level 30 now) to try to get the 70int goal. Maybe use some AP points to get a base 10-15int. Then probably leech (can sell split leech at the same time) my Hero until around 4th job(?) then start washing? This way I can make some cash while leeching my washing Hero. Thanks for the advice!
you might have to leech an extended period (maybe up to 140), but do run papulatus twice daily starting from level 125 unlock for both your bishop and hero to get 2x cracks per day, so you do not need to rely on finding people if you ever want to do solo multi client with you bishop to give HS, but do remember to keep you bishop alive throughout the run should take around 15 mins per run at 125~130ish (use stoppers), but the exp is worth every minute if you have guildies, then its perfectly fine too for the lower levels do try to unlock ToT maps, as the quests give a pretty decent amount of exp make sure you have a decent power stance, preferably 20, you can choose to get this first before ACA, if you wish to do krex and zak runs earlier, as the prevention of knockback helps in dps and the ease of play on the other hand, your raw damage will look kinda trashy, with attack buffs not getting nice multipliers
You can definitely play the game(at least early game) even with base int. I have leveled my Assassin from 30 to 100 with 100 base int, and doing the same with my hero, which has roughly 50 base int. Leeching is great meso but there's no reason to skip the early game just to rush to the end game.
From my personal experience, I can say that this is fortunately too persimistic. I started HP washing on my bowmaster at around lvl 80 (dont remember exactly anymore) - and also I did not really have perfect gear nor INT base stats until lvl 140 at least - since I only used self-scrolled items for the majority. I even forgot to put on eqp for at least 10 levels. Still I am now at lvl 182 with 10.6x HP (Black belt, HP quest, legendary collector, 2 carat and zomby ring, usw.) - yet just to mention it is still possible to get a decent amount of HP My current max int is somewhere around 350 INT, so dont give up lvl 58 is still perfectly fine for HP washing, just put everything into INT
Appreciate the insight, I guess I won't give up on my lvl58 Hunter yet. However, after reading about the funding needed on a BM compared to a warrior class, I will likely focus on having my Hero as my first attacker char.
Ooh good to know. Yeah I like playing the chars too so I probably won't leech all the way if I can help it. However, on the topic of washing, I was wondering if you could help explain it further. I understand that washing is essentially having more INT (either through manually putting AP into INT or wearing INT equips) when you level up so that you get more MaxMP which can then be converted into MaxHP through AP Resets at a later date. However, using the 70INT goal mentioned above, (which I'm assuming is 70 total int rather than base int) is there an efficient balance between using equips and AP points to get the 70INT goal? Should I, as mentioned above, get around 10-15 base int and just make up the other 55-60 int through equips? Or maybe 20-25 base int and make up the 45-50 int through equips? As I'm assuming putting more into base int will cost more in the long term through AP Resets (unlike equips which can be sold or used on my bish). Furthermore, how does the final 'washing' stage work? Do I use AP resets all at once at level 140 or so or can I, as mentioned in the other comments, use a couple AP resets a day as I'm levelling from 30-140 or so. Thanks again for all the help guys!
you can read more about hp washing here https://royals.ms/forum/threads/fully-revised-hp-washing-guide.8286/ but im still gonna explain here anyway the way the game works is that when you level up, you get a base mp gain (4 mp for warriors), + (total int/10, rounded down) mp so a character with 70 base int and 0 int equips will gain the same as 4 base int and +66 int equips - both will receive 4+7 = 11 mp when they level up the only difference is when you add your AP into MP instead (used for MP washing) when you add AP you will get: base mp gain + (base int/10) so if you have 50 base int + 50 from equips (100 total), you will receive 4+10=14 mp from levelling if you add AP into MP, you will get 4+5 = 9 mp now when you use the APR, you must have at least 1 AP added to HP or MP before you can reset anything so if i level up, and add 1 AP into HP, i am allowed to reset AP from HP or MP, otherwise they will be greyed out you can continue resetting HP or MP as long as your regular stats are not full eg. level 120 i should have a total of 630 total AP in str, dex, int and luk if i have added say, 5 AP into HP at lvl 100, and all APs since then were added to str, don't worry right now my total AP in the regular stats is only 625, which means that i am allowed to reset up to 5 AP from HP or MP to put back into my regular stats - this will be available any time now for the logic on why washing works when you do a reset on HP or MP, you will remove the base amount gained so for warriors if i reset my HP, i will remove 50HP per APR as for my MP, i will remove only 4MP per APR but wait, with my total 100 int, i gained 14MP when i levelled up so now when i remove 1 AP from MP, and add it to HP, i will gain 50 extra hp, while i effectively gained 10 mp from levelling up this can be repeated until you reach the minimum allowable mp for you level and class (heroes minimum allowable mp is 56+ (level x4)) eg. if i have 1000 mp for a level 120 hero, my minimum allowable mp is 536 this means that i have 464MP above my minimum allowable if i reset 1 MP, i will lose 4MP, leaving me with 996 mp i can now add 1 AP to my main stats (if they are not full), otherwise i can add it to my HP so now i gain 50 hp for the APR used, and i still have 460 mp above my minimum allowable - > repeat 115 times to reach minimum, which is around 5750 hp
Get a priest to lvl 81. DO NOT lvt it up more. Get a F/P or I/L mage to 120. Begin leeching your archer and adding all ap into INT. Some INT equips would be nice also. Get tons of AP resets. MP and then HP wash. Reach your goal of 30k hp. Start playing the game as it's supposed to.
