Forum Vote for the winners of the "Design a new forum avatar" contest

I agree here, i feel like this really wouldent end up being used even if it won because its too mature. I personally dont like looking at it at all, i do not see what place it would have on a maplestory forum. I feel as if the others except for mudkips and christines*still love them though you guys did a great job!* all have a maplestory theme which i would love to see one of them win. i feel ask if kaizoku's is so simple but perfect for the forum! Herpderps pops more but its just as nice, so its like 50/50 between them!

I would love to see a second voting happen, take the top 2 or 3 and make a new poll after this voting period is over so we can then chose from the best 2 or 3

 

I would prefer if we could use our own choice of avatars from this list, with the winner of this vote as the default option.

• This would mean no work gets lost, and similar events in the future are possible.
• You get the option to pick a design that fits your global forum style.
  
  For example, @fierying's design fits nicer in the 'MapleRoyals Night Style' than most others would.​
• Winners of the event are rewarded more fair.
  
  With the current settings the winner strikes double. He/she gets the biggest rewards, and has the
  only set of avatars at the forum.​
• The default can be a neutral set of images, and the user can choice his/her set to the level of maturaty (s)he likes.

 

Own choice of avatars? Well, that's why we're voting to have a winner right, because nay of us as of right now can make any of those images as our avatar.

 

I'm mostly shocked people can't handle a bit of nakedness, even when it's only suggested (nothing is actually shown).
Its a bit of a joke, but I guess some people think pixelpeople that are only 50% covered offensive and porny.

 

No offense, but your avatar doesn't really fit the forums at all. I like the designs and everything, but it wouldn't mesh together very well.

 

Sorry, that's not a "bit" of naked, they are completely naked. 50% Covered? Not even close.
Even if I do not find it offensive and porny, I would definitely label this as displeasing to many audiences.

 

I don't mind the nakedness, I just think they're ugly.

 

@Chokladkakan - is it possible to implement Gi's suggestion or something similar? Maybe we could have the option of choosing any one of the 3 winners (and possibly the original default too) as the avatar set to display as "default"?

@Zoink - only just realised this, but the dude has pubes!

 

... Really? Really? You're this uptight? They ARE 50% covered, I see no nipples, no dicks no vaginas. Apparently the mere suggestion of genitals is deeply shocking to you.
Also please don't assume just because you cant handle it, it applies to "many audiences".

 

I am not referring myself to be the default human with the same perspectives as others, but I have seen how others have also believed it to be unappealing, even on this thread.
I also believe for a common default image to be applied on a forum where there are many young teens starting at the age of 13, images should not be borderline almost complete nudity.
How about we just each take a step back, i'll say I find your images to be unfitting to my eye, and we can just compromise by saying that we both have our points, and this can stop now before it becomes out of hand.

 

To be honest, Zoink's forum avatar is pretty neat when it's not that big. Put it to the test and set it as my forum avatar and I am enjoying it. Voted for Zoink! Luv u beb.

I would just like to point out that if someone plays this game at the age of 13, they are prone to many other things that could be a lot worse than Zoink's avatars. Even though there is a mere hint of nudity, it is in no way more than you could possibly see on television (after 6/8PM, that is, or at least, that is the rule here in the Netherlands AFAIK) in commercials and series, let alone what can so easily be found, even is pushed onto you here on the internet.

An actual good reason not to choose Zoink's avatar is because a possible lack of professionalism or the fact that it's not a perfect fit for the forum.

 

Whether or not they are appropriate for the community, I think Zoink's designs are very interesting! Great job, I'm impressed.

 

From a completely objective, unbiased point of view, Zoink's is A+++.

I think it's supposed to be a happy trail. But, hey, I'm not the artist. Those three black pixels are left up to your own interpretation...

 

^This I don't mind at all. To each their own and I used quite a specific style. What surprised me is that a naked pixel torso got to so many people. I guess I'm just used to people who are lot less easily shocked.


Also to remove the doubt: it IS a happy trail. Can't be expecting a clean shaven pubic area with a magnificent beard like that can ya?

 

I like your avatars Zoink, yours is probably my favourite submission. I just don't think they fit the Maplestory theme.
I also don't like the furry-looking avatars by Herpderp, because furries... They too are nicely made though.
