Rogue with a claw doing 1 dmg from close range

I'm lvl22 and doing 18-86 dmg with a claw but when the mobs are close to me I do only 1 damage. and they follow so it's pretty hard to grind levels like that...
any tips?

 

Jump and attack. This is a basic mechanic to both archers and theives. Although, theives have an advantage considering archers can't consistently jump and attack at the same time.

I personally find a rope or some terrain high ground and use it to gain some height so I can hit mobs. If you have haste the jump increase helps.

 

u can do it with archers! but its quite hard tbh gotta time it just right
