People are sleeping on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I don't usually watch comedy because I can't stand the laugh track they add after every sentence, fortunately Brooklyn 99 doesn't use it. The show is amazing, the cast is amazing(watched a lot of their interviews) and the comedy is great. If you've never watched anime and are curious about it I would recommend Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood / Sword Art Online(Up until episode 13 ish). Both are filled with the proper amount of action and storytelling, and FMAB barely has any fan service which imo is great. I truly think FMAB is the better show by far but I personally like SAO more.
For those who're a fan of SAO and, like me, miss more of the sword-swinging side of things than the later seasons- don't miss out on the SAO 'Ordinal Scale' 2017 movie. It's phenomenal, truly nostalgic to SAO's original premise and is a feast to your eyes, with plenty of fan service. Both in terms of the original SAO season one animation style as well as some Asuna-specific fan service for those who're men or women of culture.
That's the consensus of most watchers but it's honestly the complete fault of the director. First season was great because a majority followed source material and the drastic changes at this point in the story wouldn't have interfered with that. Unfortunately, due to the massive changes that the director made, the second season wasn't capable of resembling the second book at all. It's pretty much no longer Altered Carbon but I still stand be S1.
