I agree with you, I just wish we still had the option because the new resolution is essentially just zooming out your field of view, its not making the image crisper like it would if you changed it in other games. Playing in 800x600 feels like a more intimate experience with the game where the character are large on your screen up close and personal so the environment feels more immersive. And it's also harder to see things I feel like I'm squinting to read chat bubbles. Then again I know it will be a big Quality of life improvement for bossing and such
I guess most of the notebook user cannot even check the hp and mana bar like me. No one expects Maplestory will need u a big screen.
Try to change your graphics settings to stretch Royals into full scale for either Intel, AMD or Nvidia
I use Windows 7 and the maximum resolution is 1366 x 768 though I really like the graphic of this new resolution.
a used 22" Full hd second lcd monitor/tv costs 15-20€ on ebay... nothing fancy required.. if you spend 1-2 hours less in game and work instead you can afford it already!
Actually, people can place their opinion irregardless. This resolution is totally new to older maple versions, but it's very old when it comes to maple in general - some people have played servers with 1080p resolution. When BB came out, people got to experience the new resolution; that was what... 9 years ago? Believe it or not, all the servers that have a 1080p resolution did not drop the support for lower resolution, which actually kind of blows my mind with this server. Some people don't make the same as you do in your country. For some, this is a pipe dream. Even here in Canada, 1-2 hours won't get you a half-decent monitor at min wage. With COVID, jobs are even harder to find. And let's be honest, who the hell buys a used monitor? Nothing shittier than buying a monitor that's on its death bed with no warranty.
the problem is not which is better, but some PCs open Maple with 800x600 and others have better resolutions, now I cannot enter Maple due to the update due to that, there are people who play from minilaptop, they cannot put both resolutions?
Good afternoon, was the idea for this server supposed to be an old Maple school? So with so much updating, they gradually make it the original Maple, leaving people who can't pay for high-performance PCs on the outside, the administrator begins to forget his principles.
Enjoying new resolution so far, but lots of work needed for maps with broken borders, and some pathing does not work the same (example: inside henesys hair salon, the stairs on the right are blocked by invisible walls now). Also I feel like I can make jumps that I couldint before, like the second platform on right side of papulatus room. I jumped up to it from ground floor first try since update but maybe that's just me and I never noticed I could do that before
Fullscreen quality is unbearable on my monitor since the update and noticed windowed mode takes more CPU usage than it used to. I also experience random lag/freezing when someone uses any mage ultimate or long duration attack skills (dragon roar, shout, etc) the moment they hit their target.
How about notebook user? It cost at least over 1000usd/euros to purchase a basic gaming version which supports what you said. Otherwise we might need to spend around 500 to get a new desktop. But come on, this is a 2003 game. New version is good, but players cannot choose back 800*600 is just mind-blowing. But I guess people dont care those ~30% players and the server will be all good without them.
