Next Guide Help: Mastery Books

I'm going to be making my version of the Mastery Book Guide soon and I'd like to ask you all for some help such as listing the current books available, locations of any and all books and the estimated prices for each individual book.

I've got most of the mastery book locations down, but I'm unclear on the Temple of Time and Ulu City book drops. If you have any information pertaining to the drops, please post down below!

Hey, I am not sure how far MapleRoyals reflects their skill book/mastery book drops with the original drops from GMS, but so far I've always been using this page from ayumilove.

Whatever server I played on, like 90% of this list would indeed be correct, but at least a couple drops would sometimes be off or some books would also be dropped by a couple other mobs or bosses so a guide aimed at just MapleRoyals sounds great. I do think this page can be of great use while you are working on it though, if you didn't know about the page already.

EDIT: Also, I wouldn't be able to help with prices as I haven't even touched a book on this server yet.

 

Quite a few book drops are false on that list. Not to mention the skill being named different, which might be confusing (kMS pls).

I will be using this guide as a reference when I start to do the initial hunting of the books.

Good that I'm getting a running start with this section as well as the Warrior books on the original Mastery Book Guide which is correct for the most part.

 

Yep, definitely some of those are inaccurate or even use a different name, but I have found that list to be useful in the past more than once. That's why it could serve as a good start and a place to start your hunting if you really have no clue where a certain book drops, but the input of those who can actually confirm where they've gotten their books is much more valuable.

 

Luckily, it doesn't take much time to get a book drop if your a Mage with a strong Ultimate Attack. The BBB Hidden Street is pretty accurate as well.

Only issue is pricing, but since most books are less than 50m each, it shouldn't be to hard to get prices, but what will be hard is giving each book a definitive price.

Also Holy Shield 30, Brandish 30, and Triple Throw 20, but for the most part, they're relatively cheap.

 

I remember the days when Bstep30 would go for hundreds of millions because no one had it and barely anyone needed it.

 

We can only dream that this will happen once the skill patch becomes active. Until then, we can only speculate. ~2 second cooldown for Boomerang Step is too strong.

 

HS 30 is not cheap as its hard to get~

Thanks, Vatsug. Is that all GPQ offers? I heard that Assassinate isn't dropping in GPQ.

 

I've heard for sure (first hand accounts) that Nate 30 drops in GPQ

 

I've found Assassinate 30 twice already, so it should be dropping unless there's been very recent changes. I'm sure you can find more books in GPQ, the ones listed are the ones I've found

 

Thanks for confirming, gentlemen. I believe that some books have been taken away from GPQ (like Blizzard 30) to keep the game more balanced, but since I've never GPQ'd before, I'll need to wait and see what new information I'll be getting over the coming weeks or months.

 

I think blizz 30 is a CWKPQ drop, not a GPQ drop. Either way, we don't have it dropping.

As far as BM books, the ayumilove list is... mostly accurate. Bold is the things ayumilove doesn't list, strikeout is the things it lists that are wrong.

Bow Expert 20: Papulatus, Memory Guardian (3rd green ToT mob) worth ~10m ea
Bow expert 30: Zakum, worth ~40m ea
Concentrate 20: Pianus, Shark, Zakum
Concentrate 30: Zakum, Horntail
Hamstring 20: Skeles. Probably some other places but do they really matter?
Hamstring 30: lol idk. This skill is useless.
Phoenix 20: Skeles.
Phoenix 30: See hamstring 30, except this is a bit more useful but still not useful.
Hurricane 20: Jr. Newties worth ~5m
Hurricane 30: Papulatus, worth ~25m
Sharp Eyes 20: shark, cold shark, LEFT pianus 50m ea
Sharp eyes 30: Skeles lol. also RIGHT pianus. 500k ea

IDK about dragon breath. The important books are SE, Hurricane and BE.

 

Thanks a lot! I was a bit unclear on many of the locations and prices for these books. Zakum books have been going down a lot as of late so I think Bow Expert might be even less than that. I'll have to constantly update the guide, but I hope the prices get to a stable point.
