So my friend told about this server and I decided to download it. But every time I try to install, the installer claims that I have no permissions to the folder it's installing into. I remember the installer saying that I didn't have permissions from "TrustedInstaller" to install in C:/Program Files (x86). Does anyone know how to deal with this?

Try running the installer as an administrator

Does the installer really only install into the programfiles directory? Doesnt let you choose?

Chimoki, if you still have issues I can write you a script that will temporarily change the target of your program files directory for the game install, and then change it back.

I like programming and I'm 1/4 into making a batch script that helps with Maple Royals installation ^^ will take a while to make it 100% safe. Ill inbox you a second method if you need it quick.

might have to change my tactic, and just use the easy way and ask Matt to change the installer. (change of the environment variable may need user log off which is not nice)
but I can still make a script that checks if the install was successful and helps you fix problems.

I am able to choose where to install it (only in the C: drive, a recovery E: drive, and an inaccesible D: drive) , but it gives me the same message. Then again, I have not tried every single file.
Also, I would like to thank you in advance for the script and would be fine with waiting for its completion.

okay no point for my script then. Try to Install it in a folder on your desktop. C:\users\(your account name)\Desktop

Sorry for the late reply, I have little time for maple royals during the week now.
