As the title says, I plan to do so. However, there a few things I would like some advice on before I begin character creation! I have never HP washed before but I do have some knowledge in regards to it. I was recommended by someone that I should set my goal for 20k hp by level 200. I'm not sure the recommended hp requirements for each boss though so opinions in this matter would be greatly appreciated! Now as for going about this procedure... This is where it gets a little confusing for me ): I have int gear (40-50 int total) that I can use for levels. But I believe I may be needing to allocate some AP into INT as 40-50 int may not be enough. So that means I will need to buy APRs for my INT points as well. I was thinking about 15k hp by level 135 as well so I can start bossing. My last confusion is the allocation of my points and APRs each level... I'm not quite sure what to do here. Do I just wear int gear before i level for the mp and put all my points into STR and use APRs to convert my mp points to hp points? Sorry if this was all too vague but please let me know your opinions towards ho washing a bucc! Thank you!
Congratulations on your decision to main a Buccaneer! Here is an HP washing calculator you can fiddle with in addition to useful HP breakpoints. Buccaneers can do most bosses with little to no washing! For Buccaneers, you will convert your excess MP directly into HP, so feel free to distribute your AP normally into STR/DEX as you see fit. A Buccaneer gains 40 HP per wash and loses 16 MP. Your minimum MP is 18 x level + 111, so you can use this formula to keep track of how many washes you have at any given time. I leveled my Buccaneer with 60 base INT and 100 INT from equips by level 50, and I am currently sitting at 17.6k HP at level 180, with enough excess MP to wash to ~22k with HP quest.
@adankim Buccs seem like such a fun class to play! I'm actually thinking of making one~ @UrbanJuggernaut I haven't started on a bucc yet, as I'd like to do more research on the class first! Wanted to ask for your advice on any hp goal recommendations you might have if I don't want to spend too many mesos washing a bucc? If I wash, I'm hoping to wash just a little bit (enough to still fight the end-game bosses later on, but I don't need to HT right at 155 - I'm okay with waiting until later at a higher level and once I have more damage). Buccaneer has a very easy time washing. I would aim for 12k by 145 to do Shao and that should cover most other content with Buccaneer's naturally high HP gain. You should be around 10k natural by 155 which is enough for Horntail but washing a bit is recommended to make things smoother.

Just wanted to add that you'll need 16k hp without hb for toad so that's another goal to consider. Toad is lvl 180 so you won't need that much hp so early
