So I got this today and im really pumped about it but.... idk how I should scroll it. I want to do 60%, but the cost is so high for 10 of them. 100% would be cheap and no risk. Just wondering other peoples serious ideas on this situation. In one hand I have the possibility that I could get 41 int but near 50/50 chance and each costs about 20m or so (dont know prices for sure ive never needed them) and I would just need 6+ to land to be better then 100%. That would cost somwhere around 200m+. In the other hand I could 100% it cheap and guarantee 31 int. Which is still very good for most zhelms, but a shame for what im pretty sure is perfect base int.... So pretty much i'm asking is the risk of +10 int really worth the 200m more then just 100% scrolling it?
You're a mage. You can make 200m. There's no need to scroll it NOW, you can do it over time as funds become available.
I killed so many zak's never came across something like this, been re-looting helms for a long period of time. I'd prob chaos the helm, if it does go well finish it with 60%'s and ws.
Update: 2/7 60%s 0/1 70% and it boomed when i used a 30%.... At its peak it was 19/20/25/20 so whatever only like 180m down the drain I guess.
Time to keep looting. Perhaps it might be a good idea to bring some Helm 30/70 along with you during a run so you can get some scrolls on before you go all out on a helm.
yep thats what ill be working on for a while. Also Im going to start working on a wand soon... This im more worried about because its rare to come across a wand such as this... and as you can see from my helm scrolling stats.... i have terrible luck. I want to ws 10% it but i cant afford that. I was thinking ws 30% until 3 land. If it booms by then im back to 150 clean wands.
If you're seriously about your I/L, just white scroll it from the beginning. I've never seen 154 clean Elemental Wand 7s so this is a justifiable 7 slot White Scroll equip. That's my opinion and I'm sure others will have different opinion and call me a rich lunatic, but I've made my case clear.
I really want to ws 10% it from the beginning, but I just dont have that type of income. People much more prefer bishops over Arch Mages for leech and I dont have the slightest clue on how people merch so well. I am serious about my I/L though I prefer it over any other class, unlike most people. So im probably going to have to make an hs mule to even make an attempt at this. Hopefully I can finish it before im done with Royals... P.S, to anyone that reads this, I am indeed taking ws donations!!!
Head over to my Community Money Making Thread and you should get a few ideas. Mix up your methods around and you should have enough money to scroll anything you want in a reasonable amount of time.
I have looked at that guide before but I never noticed the memory monk piece until now i'm definitely going to try that out. As for the Papulatus cracks i'm getting close to 4 per day (1 atm, 2 characters quests almost done, 1 in the making). So that should help a bit.
Quality > Quantity. Earn up the money, purchase the scrolls needed and then scroll. No need to use an hour on it
that's a nice wand, but as any mage class wouldn't it not be practical to perfect a wand since you're not going to need one that strong to 1hit skeles and petris and newties?
I dont really care to 1 hit any of those really... I can almost 1 hit skele with a 161 tma wand right now. There is also Oblivion in ToT which I can barely 2 hit in the end maps, which give much more exp then skele. If I ever am to 1hit those I need to hit up to 141k with each blizz use. To be honest though I could care less if I 1 hit every mob in the game... I just want to boss with it.
I'd personally 30 it on 1st 2 slots, then finish with 10%s and white scrolls (assuming the 30%s pass). Even if you don't have the money right now, you might make enough in the future.
