Cant use skill when I am too close to monster

I am constantly hitting 1 damage(basic attack) when I use lucky seven. I have to walk away and then use the skill again.
Is there a way that I can always use skill?
Can I disable the basic attacks?

 

jump then throw, there isn't a way to disable it. you'll get better with practice.

I'm gonna make a small assumption that you're either new to Maple or you've only played newer versions of Maple, but this mechanic (punching when monsters are close) exists in all versions of Pre-BB Maple. It's just something annoying sins have to get used to, but you'll get the hang of it.

 

Yeah, that's the weakness of all range characters. All of them need to be a certain distance away from monsters in order to attack properly. If not they will do melee attacks.

 

Corsairs on a battleship is an exception :^)
