Is ToT a viable spot for F/P Mages above lvl 120+?

I'm a lvl122 F/P mage atm, and I was wondering of training spots. As is, I'm at Newties.

Also, if any other F/P Mages want to buddy up, feel free to add me: Magik.

We got to stick together :)

Weezing aka flannelman should know this. Based on the rates and spawn that he's described before, I believe that ToT mobs will definitely be superior than Newties or even Skeles if you don't 2 shot 100% of the time.

Any F/P A/M have input on this?

You will have a breeze training at Road of Regrets 1-5 for sure, I'd say, those are Fire-weak.

I can test all the Memory Lane maps, but after that, I'll mainly be two shoting the later maps.

Those are actually fire strong (tested myself) so you only do half dmg to them

So tot doesn't benefit any mage classes just attackers? One hitting the later maps in oblivion would be ridiculously fast to lv200.

What? :O That doesn't make any logical sense! They're blue, on some Maple servers (I think SEA and KMS), it was called Ice Zone. :O Fire is strong to Ice, obviously... NEXON Y U DO DIS

Well since the tot buff didn't happen until I was 18x, newts were the way to go. Here is what I would imagine; if you 2 shot RoR at any map 1-5 at level 120, then that would be good. Because newts at 120 are annoying when you don't have elquines to auto freeze the one newt that knocks you off. Once you get lvl 20 (or 30 if you get them) meteor/elquines, you can newt smoothly, or go petrifighters in ulu city or the RoR maps. I was able to one hit everything before meteor shower 30 came out so if you get it early on, one hitting these mobs above is great exp for FP mages. Also, it would be best to make a second account with a lvl 81 HS mule so that you can leech anyone at mobs lvl 90+ to make some money.

Currently a 149 F/P AM, been on Royals Pre-ToT/Ulu, must say that the EXP at RoR1-5 is considerably faster than Ulu's Petrifighters and Montrecers.

I haven't clocked/timed it yet, but it seems that RoR1=5 is more efficient than straight grinding at Newts. I gained 50% at Newts in a little over 2.5 hours with HS (105+ Priest leeching) compared to RoR 2 where I was almost 1-hitting with Meteor 20 and gained about 50% in a bit under 1.75 hours (with HS, Help, and Questing)

yeah RoR/Ulu didnt come out until i was 15x back in the summer and Ulu/Newts was much more superior than RoR. so all i basically had was newts to grind at when i hit 120+. but now it seems like RoR is better for FP mages 120+.

Newties isn't a good thing to compare when making a final judgement. They're mediocre when compared to other common leeching locations.

When Sam (IlVulcan) and I duo, Petris is faster than ror4 for both of us.
    (He 1 hits both) (I 1 hit petris, 1/2 hit ror4)

I'm a lv113 F/P hoping to turn F/P A/M by end this year, so this thread's replies is of particular interest to me. So, just to clarify, Petris > ToT > Newties, based on the replies in this thread? Been looking at this guide (http://royals.ms/forum/threads/fire-poison-mage-help-viizeee.13016/#post-67679) for reference, which states Newties as the best training option from lv120 to 130.

And just out of curiosity, can I clarify what is the abovementioned "ToT buff"? Thank you!

the spawn has been increased at ToT maps between its release and now. so the maps were "buffed"

it is because of the convenience of the map. if FP mages two hit + use elquines, you can spam meteor perfectly in a row. two meteors = the amount of time the next batch of newts spawn. and you dont even have to move until you hit the 100 attack thingy. if you perfect one hit newts dealing 80k dmg + and have an HS mule, its about 204k exp every 5-6 seconds. i dont newt anymore simply because i like to be more active and move around gaining more exp duoing at petris.

Sorry for the many questions, but what may I ask is the "100 attack thingy"? Is that something put in place to prevent people from botting?
