    Actually, wouldnt you feel better since youre the minority (Archer) and since you invested into it youlll probably have some decent range that makes you even more wanted? Im pretty sure you have some high range too, and those ppl you mentioned in cwk just have a skewed perception that mm will always be weaker than bm. In my case, i rmbr the party doubting thaat ill be helping archer room but wwhhen we were in archher room, i was dealing almost double the bm's dmg despite similar lvls.(i am not heavily funded and i do not have a mage char). And through these kind of runs youll also make ppl go "hey this mm is good" and they might probably add mm in the future for their runs too. (tbh there arent many 180 archers online at the same time or same lvl archers withh equal funding)

    Just join the parties that are finding an active archer instead of a mule? Even the high lvl players get lazy at times to constantly on all their mules for just 2 runs and will resort to finding an active archer player from time to time.

    Also if you see those people choosing jobs based on damage output, then thats their own choice. After all it depends on your goal in this game and for me I would say i just enjoy some classes and the damage/range is second in priority.

    If youre going to ask whats my level and job, im a 188mm. The one that you keep mistaking for being lower level(maybe hir0pie) than you in the past and asked how i lvl up faster than you.

    You do realize other jobs have supportive party skills such as Holy Symbol, Sharp Eyes, Hyper Body while Night Lord can only offer Meso Up or Haste only lol

    Night Lord's existence is meant to deal the best damage in bossing, there's no point of playing Night Lord if Archers can hit same damage as Night Lord

    nl demage too high,most people play nl,they say warriors is cheap in wash hp but useless,archer no avoid and little dmg in ht,when a new player ask what job should they play,only bs and nl.you said these skill is usefull,but people wont play these main character,they will play main nl will hs,se,hb,si mule.these job are born to serve nl,its unfair.i see my high dmg nl friends always j ht with se mule,shadower sed mule,sometimes si tl mule,paladin mule.(not many nl need hb mule,and they say main dk easy die in ht) if player play these low dmg but good party skill atker job,they spend many meso,but nl dont need them,less people more split.i think these job dont need to have same dmg as nl,but should have more dmg,then nl will think "i can take them,ht will faster,they are better than mule" :xD:

    Sorry for necroing this thread; but I sat through and read all nine pages of this thread. I was away for six months.

    I do not believe Archers need a buff.

    My Credentials:
    Playing MM since early 2018
    19x MM
    Have sold over 1,000,000+ Heartstoppers to fund this class

    Why Archer is the most noob-friendly first attack class:

    Recently more Warrior mains have been quitting their Warrior than Archer. Why is that? Parties are removing Warriors before Archers because Archers need SE. If you have a 16k+ HP NL he can Sed perfectly fine.
    Warriors need a buff before Archers.

    Most parties don't range check an Archer.

    While HP washing is more expensive; this is literally the most casual attacker class for competitive parties. You could literally be using a maple crossbow in Horntail (I did this once by accident), and people literally will not say anything unless you bring it up.


    @Carney You throw on your gear on a 17x NL it would probably be a below average NL and be asked to use more apples; but if you compare yourself to other MM you probably have better gear than at least 60% of the MM. When @Shnang's made a NL, his range couldn't get him on random smega HT parties; yet he was on the Official Range Thread, the second highest Marksman range for quite sometime.

    Double Clienting SE is annoying in Horntail: is the general consensus and I agree with it. Just using my crash mule in HT gives me a headache already. Most parties nowadays aren't trying to speed run HT and gladly take archers.

    But it SE Muling still exists!: Yes it does. But I really don't like this argument. I feel like if you're gonna fight for SE human rights you should look at the most exploited mule class, the HS mule. Bishops don't contribute damage, unless you apple on main like @Jooon, yet most runs R>Bishop for HT!!1!1. The pros of having an actual person behind the keyboard outweigh the cons in my opinion.

    Some of the Pros:
    Easier to find an SE player than a NL with SE Mule
    NL mule doesn't have to lose DPS to SE buff everyone every few mins (or if the boss dispels)
    Increased clients raise chance of DC

    Some of the Cons:
    Hard to find an SE during dead hours (sometimes hard to find)
    Less Split Money

    I would not like an implementation of no muling in bosses. I would rather get less EXP in krex than be forced to give a BS my EXP or Ring or NX.

    But there are other content than just Horntail: Yes. Tbh most Zak/Krex runs are casual; you see so many smegas everyday of parties trying to R>SE. We can self buff ourselves and solo BF fine and grind Oblivion 4. Most Marksmen I know grinded in Oblivion at least once in 19x while on full boss cooldown (When there was no Shao, Scar/Tar, CWK).

    But NL's want Duo Krex/Zak and have all buffs: I don't know what to tell you. My range is high enough and I carry my own SI mule that nobody complained im not a NL. For Duo runs you will be expected to have good range even as an archer. I think most people I run with duos have mostly been my friends/maybe know of me? I usually smega R>NL /Sair for my Duo Krexes and I ask for their range; they have never asked for mine back, feel like that's how it usually works as the recruiter.

    Boss Multi-Clienting: This isn't really a problem. Rarely do people bring SE/SI/HS into Horntail, why fix whats not broken? And people desperately need SE for CWKPQ, so why make it harder? I almost always see people R>SE for Krex/Zak during active hours. Maybe one in every 5-6 smegas you see someone mention they have an SE mule.

    Why don't we just make multi-clienting available for CWKPQ: No. Inconsistency is bad.

    But NL is too broken: Yes. They are, that's why they're the most popular class. This might be a minority opinion; but this thread was bringing up feedback from Archer mains. I enjoy the gaps between classes. There are too many NLs. I enjoy my under-saturated MM class. I was a little annoyed when MM got buffed cause @Shnang saw more than 1 MM in the FM (aka when we see each other). When people boss with me they say "I didn't even know Piercing Arrow was a skill. I thought that was snipe." -Probably A NightLord.


    Will I quit this class if they don't get buffed soon:
    No. I haven't hit level 200 in almost two years of playing my MM cause I put funding it over leveling it. I have one attacker. And have only had one real attacker in my entire time in Royals (My Hero was my first chara and maxed Final Attack). I have spent my entire journey of Royals have been funding my Marksman to become the strongest horribely balanced class player out there.

    If I hit level 200 on my Marksman I will not make a new attacker until I at least break 11k range on my MM. Then I will consider making a second Marksman.

    On a more serious note. If you removed Multi-Clienting the only method of making consistent money would be selling leech and Horntailing RNG; and I hate both. Heartstoppers would also be around 3m+ per stopper. For those who question my abuse of AFK farming; this is post pet nerf. I actively looted all 8 stopper clients and have never even been questioned once by a GM for Macro Botting. So I laugh at those who complain they watch movies while stopper farming or didn't notice them cause they were looking away for like a hot second.


    If I were to suggest buffs for Archers:
    Give a slightly better HP washing ratio to Archers. (Inb4 Karlos comes back to make another thread why Matt should refund him mesos cause he washed a bowman to 30k)

    MM Buff:
    Buff Strafe Damage % slightly. Don't even need 125%->150%. Even to like 135-140% would be great.

    BM Buff:
    Let Hamstring affect Horntail and slow its movement

    TLDR

    We don't really need a buff.
    Please buff Warrior
    You can run HT with a maple bow/crossbow and nobody's really gonna care
    If more SE-mains want to quit. Please do, less HT competition.
    If more Marksmen specifically want to quit cause of DPS charts; please quit, I hate seeing fair-weather players.
    I would rather this class be the absolute worst DPS class (2017 Paladin) than as overplayed as NL.
    Don't restrict muling in bossing. Its a minor problem for SE mains. I'm not taking a Bishop to Krex to take my NX/Ring.
    Don't nerf Multi-Client. I don't want to sell leech. I will raise heartstoppers to 10m each if you do.

    I don't think Warriors NEED a buff. But if you're gonna buff any class it should be warrior.

    its okay i just call myself se mule now , although i put alot of effort in funding my mm, i dont care about dmg anymore
    i just press se in parties, recieve my splits and walk away. very stress-free haha
    and you are right, you can wear maple crossbow and still be able to join a party easily.
    i hate when you play nl and people ask for your range

    I did think about that too a lot; thinking "oh if i played NL my gear would be so much more useful there."

    But I think playing MM is fun. Just don't worry about your damage too much compared to NL and have fun.

    Just get back at them by never Appling. Easy.

    I also played MM on gms and upon joining the server I knew my main was going to be a MM.
    So I too worked hard, made a bs and funded a decent MM.
    I can verify that there are many pros to being a marksman. It’s strong in early 4th job, very desirable in boss runs and nobody cares about range.
    And after this small disclaimer I can also say that I recently decided to quit my marksman and choose a different class.
    When I played gms I didn’t get that far, probably to 13x. And till then marksman and sniper are great classes to play and very strong throughout the early game.
    Here in royals end game is a quicker matter, and and you quickly realize that in these lvls mm dps doesn’t improve much after snipe is full and mm boost is maxed.
    Strafe is a joke tbh.
    But I didn’t reply to rant about mm dmg or even claim the dmg is the reason for my quitting.
    It’s probably a combination of bad mobility low hp no avoid and low dmg.
    If it was all about dps I’d make a nl or a sair but this class is bad on ALL these different levels. I played it for nostalgia but it’s definitely not going to be my choice for main.
    Should MM get a boost?
    I don’t know. People can simply choose to play other class if they don’t like it, like I did. Because marksman wasn’t great even back then so why force it now?
    Furthermore, even with all its cons mm still has se, so this class has no problem joining boss runs
    and hp wash can solve the hp problem.
    Bottom line is, MM boost of a few more percentage to strafe is fine in my opinion but no more than that, because this class is what it is and was always underground and very few chose it.

    I think that’s fair, since snipe cd is low as it is, and strafe is the main attacking skill.
    And when our main attack is a 3rd job skill it can possibly explain why the dmg is so low lol

    I feel like archers are good as a first attacker character because they don't require good gear and have easy time join the low lvl bosses, but if you do have good atk gear already you should go for another class instead.
    In higher level bosses like HT, NLs actually have a lot higher demand than BMs (because you have like 3 nls in the party) and while on BM I had to constantly ask people for HT on NL it was a lot easier to do it twice per day and just join alliance/random run etc. Especially since NL can easily bring duo client/be a sed mule etc and is a lot more flexible. You also use spend less money on apples/potions while getting more exp than the BM gets.
    BM is also pretty trash in shaolin and is like the only attacker class that can't solo it (together with mm), and the SE there isn't even that useful because it's usually melee classes who do this boss.

    The thing about archers is that while SE is a big advantage, they don't really have anything else going for them (except for summon farming maybe lol).
    You have pretty low avoid, no mobility skills, no stance, weak mobbing (especially for BM), below average DPS (especially MMs), low hp, no defensive skills or iframes, no utility like bullseye or alchemist and so on
    The only thing where they are at the top is accuracy and long range, but high accuracy is useless since the highest you'd ever need is like 300-400 acc (with archers having like 800 at lvl 200 lol) and their range is only a tiny bit longer than NLs

    I see what you’re saying and I’m glad I’m not the only one noticing archers are bad on all different lvls and have nothing going for them except se.
    But this is old school right? Arnt these the same reasons why mm and be weren’t so popular back then in gms?
    Still didn’t understand from your reply if you’re for or against archer buff tho

    So what if it's old school? Royals is already far different than GMS was. Why not revert the exp and drops to x1 and make all NX cost money if you want an old school server?
    Besides some classes already got buffed (including MM).
    I think MM need a buff of either strafe from 125% to 150% (it's actually not that significant, when you count the crit bonuses you'd only get a buff of around 10% damage) or a higher cap damage on snipe (like 300k or so). I'm not sure what buff BM should get, it might not be a damage buff but rather more HP, avoid or something like that.
    You can make bow expert/marksman boost give like 50 more HP per level, for a total of 1500 at max. It will sort of make up for the low HP you get per wash and the weak defense archers got

    Alright im back after more than a year, has BM/MM been buffed yet, or do i have to come back another year to see if archers have been buffed?
