Do you know the xp comparison between 1hko skeles and 2hko petrifighters? Also, with the wait time for respawns, do you know if a SI mule at all worth it to bring along? Been slowly working on mine for a while.
I've yet to use SI in many training areas so I wouldn't know until I start to leech my Buccaneer. As for the XP comparison, it's s pretty big margin. One Shot Skele is in a league of its own whereas Two Shot Petrifighter is slightly better than Ulu 2. IIRC the ratio is ~3:5
I was referring to @Plenty's statement that 1 shot skeles is "in a league of its own." So assuming my earring, glove, and zhelm scrolling works out the way I want it to (aka according to statistics, meaning it's definitely not going to happen because statistics have NEVER worked for me in scrolling in this game) I'm projecting my archmage to have between 1065 and 1080 TMA with blizz 20 when (if =x) he hits 130. 1100 if things work out EXCEPTIONALLY well for me. The listings in the OP are hard to translate, because they're for bishops, but it generally looks like the things I will 1 hit (WS, ulu estate 1) it's impossible to have a non-leeching HS mule at. As I will be an I/L mage (meaning freeze, so no stun) I'm thinking I might test out 2-hit montrecers. The map looks to me like it has more spawn than ulu estate II, and the exp (since they're both 2 hit?) has to be better than ulu estate II. I'll likely hold off on selling any leech until I can 1 hit ulu II (expecting ~1175 TMA, because the ratio of slygie HP : Montrecer HP is about the same as montrecer : Petrifighter, allowing for some error) Have you done any more testing at that map, or does anyone know if montrecers actually have any decent drops? Or is my time better spent (and money made) gambling on godly cravens (and hunting myself some BM overalls to scroll) at ulu II? Also LF> blizz 30. Since the difference between lv 20 and 30 archmage ultimates is ~50 magic atk, that would mean 1shot petris becomes ~1300 TMA with lv 30?
Yes, 1300 should be the correct number for one shot Petrifighters. For Montrecers, the spawn isn't too awesome because of the rope climbing and if you want to take advantage of their Scroll for Earring Int 60%, you'll have to fork over some numbers. Once you get a good sense of the map and positioning, it should be comparable to Ulu 2/2 shot.
Still LF> answer on how petris compares to skeles (both 1 hit) exp wise. Anyway, if Ulu II and Ulu III are comparable exp wise, then it might even be worth it money wise for me to gamble on blizz 30s and attempt to 1 hit ulu II from ~140, and make more money off selling leech. LF> more HT runs on my BM. Before it's brought up, I'm not building up the mage for making money - I've dumped far more into it on equips (and still probably have ~1b to go) than I ever expect it to return in profit.... but if I have him, I might as well get the most efficient return out of him I can ^_^.
Here is a thread that may interest you because this sure helped me in my pursuit to making an Arch Mage. http://royals.ms/forum/threads/hour-experiment.16103/ To answer your question, One Shot Petrifighter is better than One Shot Skele. Another thing you should keep in mind is that this thread was made before they upped the spawn at Temple Of Time so that's pretty exciting (Not for F/Ps though because the Oblivion mobs are resistant to fire). I doubt that you won't get a huge return in investment from your Mage Equips.
I suggest adding XP/Hour to each of the spots to quell any further curiosity that people might have. Spoiler Minus where the XP rates are either too low, like in the GS or where it isn't constant such as boss leech/LMPQ Ex: Recommended Selling Price: 60M/Hour if One Shot Required Magic for One Shot: 1355 with Genesis 20 ~ 1420 with Blizzard/Meteor Shower 20 1 Shot XP/hour with HS: X Amount 2 Shot XP/hour with HS: Y Amount Or instead of 'with HS' at the end write 'Bishop 1 Shot XP/hour:' while specifying that Bishop just means with HS/HS mule near the top. The amount of experienced gained by the person getting leeched is dynamic so it's not quite as useful for them, but since this guide is geared towards the seller and their experience gain is static, it'll give a general idea of how all of the rates should compare without cluttering up your guide too much.
I'm going to revamp this thread after I'm finished with my finals at school so this is something I will consider. I was leaning towards keeping track of kills/hour because then someone can just track how much they're getting per kill and multiply it with that number.
Yeah, that's probably a better idea. I'll look forward to the revamp Edit: Will that work out in maps with more than 1 type of monster?
Yeah, I was thinking about memory lane mobs as well in place of Ulu II/Ulu III. RoR is going to be a beast though, with them being resistant to ice =(. I haven't actually checked out the maps since the spawn buff, but the maps are HUGE - is it really dense enough to be worth it? I think the spawn at ulu 1 is close enough of a mix that you could average the two to get a general value for exp per kill. At ulu 2 it might be better to give it a 2 : 3 slygie:veetron ratio and do a weighted average, since there appears to me to be a difference, and the EXP is quite a distinction ebtween them.. I'm sure a bishop would have a more informed opinion about the skele ratio than I do. That takes care of the maps where leech is commonly sold at least - gobies would be a bit more difficult.
I can one shot the last map of Memory Lane and on my Bishop, I got around ~65M an hour is pure XP while leeching so that's something to compare it to. Once I get Genesis 30 and MW20, I can one shot the first and maybe the second map of Road of Regrets. The maps is quite dense so I can certainly see ToT being a viable leeching area. Gobies are weird and they cover a small margin of leeching that's just not worth getting into. As for averaging out the spawn at maps with more than one mob, I'm just gonna average the two mobs together and go from there. The actual number has to be very close to the end result anyway.
Then it looks like the only issue I would have with ToT would be that my HS mule can't come, because he isn't a high enough level to start the quests... unless I go and make a THIRD hs mule just to do ToT with, I would need a bishop partner to duo with instead =/.
It's not too tough. Each map takes like 15 minutes or so to complete if you have a one shot Arch Mage/Bishop.
