I got a question about leech.

I'm level 52 now, and I mostly do my training at Monster carnival 2. Its been okay, but I honestly still dont understand at what level am I supposed to start buying leech from other players, and where can I be leeched?

Also, I noticed Leech service is quite expensive. About 70m, a hour. Anyone can explain how players earn enough money for that?

    Thank you

I started leeching at lvl85, ulu1. Grinding mobs starts to become really slow at these levels, some people do train at himes however. I was consuming way too many pots at himes so i leeched instead. (and well, i was lazy and had the money)

    How do players get money?
There are many ways but the most common would be saving up nx and selling aprs / having your own bishop to sell leech, and use the money you earned to buy leech from another bishop in turn.

At your current level, just grind cpq2 to level70, and proceed with pirate pq untill lvl85. Thereafter, you can choose to grind or buy leech.
The progression for leeching usually goes like this: lvl85-90(ulu1), lvl90-105(ulu2), lvl105-120(petri/skele).

People can start buying leeching services from around level 30 and even lower (though usually they level up to 30 with the Orbis exchange quest). This is usually for mule characters; people who are either too lazy and / or don't want to waste what limited time they have being able to play leveling up mules, which is understandable.

Otherwise, I think non mule characters / newer players either grind with time or start buying leech at around level 85 if they have the money to pay for it and want to.

Money making options that aren't leech selling vary; from farming heartstoppers at voodoos to farming zombie teeth / gold zombie teeth. There's a money making thread somewhere in the guide section if I recall.

You can take a look at Joon's leeching guide to see what leeching areas are popular at what level:

Wow, thats very useful. I honestly didnt know this is divided by types of players on MapleRoyals, I thought its less diverse than that. Its nice to see how things work and what different ways people use to get to 120.

Honestly, I also want to be 120 fast. But I think I wont have enough money to buy leech all the way to 120. On some levels, I might have to free up some more time for grinding, but preferably with a party so I can have players to talk to during the grinding and it might be less boring that way.

You guys would say if I choose to do grinding when I dont have money to buy leech, I should go with a party of 2+, so the grinding would be less boring? Or would you say, grinding is boring always. Even if you go with a party of a few players.

I'd say grinding isn't nearly as boring with other people, especially if they're friendly and you get chatting while you're at it. With friends, it hardly ever is boring.

Where you grind and who you might find to party up with depends on your job & level of course.

I was solo all the way up to level 80 or so on my bishop, at which point I discovered himes (Dreamy Ghosts @mushroom Shrine) which is a semi popular training spot so I slightly alternated between solo grinding there to pairing up with an attacker (the priest can lure them all to one side fast with heal & teleport while the attacker kills them faster than the priest can alone).
I also wound up befriending a couple of people I grinded with there and we started grinding through the Temple of Time (ToT) quests together. ToT is also a location where you can sometimes find people to party up with if you look or even see the occasional smega of someone looking to party up, similarly to himes.

Keep in mind that the level of himes for example is 100 so one of the following needs to happen:
Either the priest has to be level 95 or higher (up to 5 levels less than the monster; otherwise they'd get little to no exp because the attacker does most of the damage) or the priest & attacker need to be within 5 levels of each other. This applies to all mobs of all levels, btw. It's how that leeching guide I linked earlier was ultimately built; the sooner your character's high enough level you can buy leech at a location that gives better exp.

It's not an issue with ToT because accessing every next map there requires the completion of another quest and the minimum level requirement of each quest is (if I recall) the exact same level of the monster you will be asked to eliminate.

I gave himes as an example because it can be pretty good even alone when you aren't a priest, though classes without very high mobility might struggle making it effective. (Not sure what job your character is but, for example, NLs are pretty mobile and can probably move around the map and lure all of the mobs after them efficiently enough. That being said, I'm not a NL player)
Also for grinding at a party the training location would obviously have to be at least somewhat popular unless you've already got friends who enjoy grinding together. Other than himes (not viable before level 80, maybe not even 85) and ToT where the level of the first quest is 91, I've been at it completely solo. So, unfortunately, I can't really recommend potential spots with the occasional guaranteed activity of other players for earlier levels.
Ulu 1 & 2 might be viable options as well once your level's high enough.

That being said, I hope this proves helpful to you. The grinding / exp in general feel like it's getting really slow towards the mid-late 70+ levels.

If you are considering paying for leech some of the time, I'd say 100+ are the levels where the grinding feels the most draining. The leeching prices also rise up for these levels (average 120-130m an hour solo in skeles and 130-140 in petris). But a good leecher and get their buyers some insanely high exp rates per hour.

I recommend you do CPQ2 till lvl 71 and then join PPQ until lvl 85 where you will be ready for ULU 1 leech. From here you can leech all the way or just a little if you would prefer to train/ppq
