Some suggestions for game servers

I was blocked, but I still have some suggestions. If you want to prohibit abuse of voting, please block it once when the user votes for the first time, so that the user will know the consequences.Because for users whose English is not their first language, it is difficult to read the detailed rules before starting the game.

I knew about mapleroyal from Youtube about three years ago, and I downloaded it and started playing. When I voted on multiple networks, I was even very happy, thinking that I was supporting the server and improving the ranking of the server. I didn't really read the forum rules carefully until I was banned. However, I happened to be crazy busy in my life at that time, so I didn't appeal and didn't take any measures. It's just a game after all.

I don’t know if I’ve made it clear. What I mean is that the first abuse of voting will be temporarily suspended as a warning, so I believe that no one will continue to abuse voting, instead of waiting for a period of time to be permanently blocked.

Out of love for this server, this suggestion is made. I wish all players happy.

The second story is for well-known reasons, I have a lot of free time again， I came back the game in June this year. I have been very careful and strictly abiding by the rules, but I still voted one or two times more accidentally, because every time my modom restarts, it may change the IP, and I It is used to check whether to vote or not before 0：00 server time. After realizing this accident, I simply voted and recorded it in a notebook immediately. Just after I was so careful, I was blocked again because of the abuse of voting a few years ago.

According to the rules, I may be marked as "never welcomed by the server". Although there are loopholes in the rules, I still respect it, so I make the above suggestions. In addition, too many users use illegal software. That's all.

 

If you had vote abused often enough to warrant a permanent ban then you did not simply vote "one or two times more accidentally." So let's be clear about that. And while I can understand the frustrations of players who may have the added burden of having to comprehend all of the T&C and other functions of this server despite not speaking English as their first language, the server's rule on vote abuse is very clear and rather concise:

If your English is advanced enough to progress through account and character creation, and your English is advanced enough to create a Feedback thread of this substance, then you have no excuse for failing to abide by this rule.

I do agree that a swifter ban process that would prevent unwitting players from crossing the line into major vote abuse territory would certainly decrease the amount of permanent bans. It would likely decrease the amount of vote abuse in general as well. But at the end of the day, it is your responsibility to follow the rules of this server. Asking staff to establish an entire system otherwise in order to shoulder this responsibility of individual players is an unreasonable request.

 

I abused voting without knowing it three years ago, not now. In addition, I am not writing this for debate, nor for finding reasons for myself, but just suggestions, just take a look. I have deleted the game and will not reply to this post. As for my English level, I was still in a language class three years ago, and it is not my current level. Thanks Reply.

 

To be honest, these rules are available easily, and it is not complicated english, nor a lot of text, they jump at you in red letters every time you vote. In the beginning, I thought it was even a bit too much. I was like "come on guys, do you think I am stupid?", but after becoming a reader of ban appeals, I see why they cluster them at so many places. Also, I remember that I had to click some "I have read and understood T/C" button at some point during account creation, or did my imagination create this?
