Anime Recs

I'm trying to find a good anime to watch... Ive seen things from Psycho Pass to Food Wars, Ouran High School to Sword Art Online.. Let me know if you're watching anything good these days!

 

If you enjoyed Psycho-Pass, then I would highly recommend giving Shinsekai Yori a look. They both explore very similar themes and are both set in a supposedly "utopian" society.

I would actually name a lot more, but some of them have already been listed by the other posts above. Top ones (previously mentioned) being Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, Steins;Gate, and Erased. <--- Highly recommend watching these.

Anyway, some of my personal favorites that haven't been listed yet:
1) Katanagatari (10/10) - #1 favorite anime on my list. Huge helpings of romance, feels, development, action, etc.
2) Code Geass (10/10) - feels train
3) Steins;Gate (10/10) - romance and feels train
4) Eureka Seven (8/10) - admittedly... different from the other anime I described, but probably one of the most "romance-y" and "development-y" ones out there (it starts off slow, picks up, slows down, then picks up). But despite how different it is, and despite the 8/10, it's subjectively one of my top favorite anime
5) Angel Beats (9/10) - romance and feels train
6) Toradora! (9/10) - romance and cute as hell
7) Danganronpa (8/10) - I haven't played the game, so I can't compare them. But it's entertaining enough you'll love it. Try to get through it so you can watch the next two sequels: Danganronpa 3 Future and Despair Arc. So then you can watch the ending (Hope). And it's fanservicey as hell. <3 Also, much (subtle) romance. Trust me, it's there.

Anything dubbed by 4Kids

 

Hi guys I'm looking for an anime recommendation.

Two amazing examples of anime's I liked are:

• kimi no na wa
• hotarubi no mori e

What I'm looking for

• Romance/cute scenes
• Deep story
• Kind-Of-Realistic (Fantasy is okay but not super fictional)
• High Def
• Movies or Series (but preferably movies)

What I'm not looking for

• Very unrealistic Anime like Dragon Ball Z shooting lazers from their ass
• Fights in Anime (unless it's very very rare)
• Anything older than 2010

 

This may sound extremely strange from a dude but try Orange.

 

Boku no hero academia. It's a very touching and heroic story

 

"Gate - Thus the JSDF Fought There!", time travellers can thank me later.

 

They are not time travelling though, but yeah it's a very good anime. Strongly recommended.
