Hello everyone my name is Skullcandies and I am posting for the first time to ask a question. If there is already on a thread on this, I apologize but I didn't see one. Almost every time I join a mob room someone spawns on me starts using abilities and yells "cc plz". In many cases every single channel had people training in the area I was looking to train. I am wondering do I have to switch rooms by rules of the server, or is it just common curtsy to leave? Mind you in a lot of these cases I'm not even there to train I just logged on to enjoy my time on the server, and I don't start mobbing instantly. I like to relax a bit sometimes. Do I have to leave or is it optional? Kind Regards
If you are not the mapowner, you must leave if the mapowner asks you to. You can check who the mapowner is by using the ~mapowner command. A map becomes available to a new person if the current mapowner is idle for more than 3 minutes. To keep your map ownership, you need to attack once at least every 3 minutes. You don't have to hit a monster, just use your attack key. (All attack skills except summons like bahamut will retain map ownership) Keep in mind that KSing is a bannable offense, which is why the ~mapowner command exists. From the T & C: Engage in rude, unlawful, harassing, vulgar, obscene, hateful, threatening, abusive or otherwise objectionable behavior, including, without limitation, looting, kill stealing, making sexual comments; Punishment: 1st offence - 3 day ban, 2nd offence - 7 day ban, 3rd offence - permanent ban
Gurps I appreciate the quick response, the mapowner command is what raised this question for me. I assumed that fighting where it showed mapowner was not allowed. I will make sure to use the ~mapowner to check who owns the map after being asked to cc.
Gurp pretty much answered everything. I would just like to add that, for someone to get banned for ksing, there is a lot of procedure to follow. Check the link below for details.
