Guys , im new and i recently gachaed a few chaos scrolls and managed to make some funding for my char, how would u guys gear a mage with 2b , given that int equips now are pretty expensive and i couldnt find the right balance , getting too many stats on an equip alone would make me lose out stats on other equip. Anyone kind to spare abit of time telling me how i should gear my mage?
You won't be able to fully fund a mage with 2b alone .. What I would suggest is, first get a zhelm (if you haven't already), then get an Ele Wand with around 180tma and with the remaining mesos get yourself a nice bathrobe or doros/doroness (depending on your char's gender). These 3 should already have you spend your 2b, but at the same time you'd be strong enough to sell leech at various places. If you still have some leftover mesos, get yourself a cape or scroll one yourself as capes are pretty cheap. Then once you start selling leech, just complete the rest of your mage gear (earrings, shield, gloves, eye, face, shoes, dep star/htp) At least this way, you'll have something to work on or a purpose while selling leech as you progress
I've only played AM I/L out of the mages and I sold A LOT of leech haha. The problem is you cannot sell leech at places lower than ulu2, since as an arch mage, you'd require having an HS Mule to be able to sell leech. Best level for an hs mule is 81 (as you have max hs and lv1 door) but your lv81 mule would also leech exp at places lower than ulu2 (gs, wr, ws, ulu1). So as an arch mage you could only sell leech at ulu2, petri and skele as much as you want Especially 1hitting petri is MUCH easier to achieve on an arch mage and petris are the preferred end game leeching spot. 1hit ulu2 would also be easily achievable even at an earlier level. AM books are cheaper as well in respect to bishop books so definitely don't go bishop > AM way
F/P are stronger and it's becoming a more popular class each passing day With ToT maps now are mandatory to do the quests, I/L have lost it's advantage as they were able to bring their hs mules into ToT maps and leech as a better option than petris. But now that's gone and petris are the best end game leeching spot, I/L and F/P are exactly the same when it comes to leeching service, just F/P are stronger in terms of damage. (Also F/P book Meteor Shower 30 is as of now cheaper than I/L's Blizzard 30)
The diff between f/p to i/l its just an 20magic. I/L can one hit with 1216 exactly like i checkedlast time . But f/p could do it with 1196 magic . Ofc w/ meteor/blizz 30! About the books . Meteor 30 = 350m max nowdays Blizz 30 = 750m(?) Id recommend to open F/P with hs mule! Thats what i did and thats how i selling leech !
