I loved the nostalgia thrill for the last 9-10 months.. it's been great to travel back in the past and be immersed the same way I was as a teenager for a bit, being 35 with lots of responsibilities made playtime difficult but I enjoyed it when I could. The experience grew stale once I hit 155 on my pally and bishop.. there seemed to be nothing else other than dailies and occasional guild-facilitated boss runs. Though, I ended up spending a lot of time acquiring mesos for several months anyway... and as a new player it was difficult but I just managed to reach the holy grail for me - MW20. It ended up failing. After months of effort grinding, gacha-ing or even selling equips from leprechauns, I'm not willing to keep going after being struck with such a loss. The loss itself wasn't the heartbreaker, but the realization that the rose-colored glasses I was wearing started slipping over time and that I'll never get to truly relive those memories as a teen; the MW20 failure was just the catalyst to allow me an out after it was already eating at me. To those that bothered to read, don't feel sorry for me -- this was a great experience for me and I cherished getting the chance to take a nostalgia trip. Thank you to the staff and GMs for running such a server in the first place, it was a lovely run. See ya.
