ive played warriors a few times but never understood why final attack was bad or if it hindered damage in a way can anybody shed some light on this?
When using Slash Blast and you have Final Attack, the percent that Final Attack has will spread out between however many monsters you hit randomly. Example: Final Attack activates with 250%, damage is spread between 6 monsters, hits for 100%, 50%, 25%, 25%, 10%, 40%.
Final Attack activates randomly. Even though it hits faster than a normal attack, it still can slow you down in the long run. Spearmen: Not recommended at all. It doesn't work with your main third job skills and is a waste of points. Fighters: Some recommend it because it helps you build your orbs a little faster. Others don't bother. Pages: It's a toss up. I have played several Pages all the way to fourth job and I've done both FA/noFA. The difference is negligible. HOWEVER, I would not recommend getting FA if you're using blunt weapons. Blunt weapons are already slow enough. Blunt weapons + FA = brutally slow and pretty frustrating. If you're going 1h sword, then FA is fine.
