Hello! First of all, this is not my actual account. The first one was named bakery12 and I just tried to dissasiociate (however you spell it) that account from facebook and something went wrong and I can't log in to it anymore. I would like to start by saying that I'm sorry for being one of those complaining shit that couldn't wait for the new source and started to say wrong things around. I have spoken with some of my friends that make me understand how hard it is to make such an update. I would like to thank for all the MapleRoyals staff for the work they're doing and let you know the community is willing to help (at least I hope so), bringing back old memories keep people here. Anyway, going to the point: I was just wondering (since it's almost 10th day without maple I was thinking a lot (xd)). Now, that the whole community could see what's the meaning of not getting along with the Beta (I'm not trying to hate or anything but I started playing almost 3 months ago and I've never heard anything about an existing beta server; I've heard about new update tho), I wanted to ask a question. - Is there any possibility to start everything from the begining? By this I mean, I logged yesterday when the server was up and I saw how many things needs to be done before the game will be actually playable. Wouldn't it be better to bring the old source back and open a beta again? I have this feeling that this time it would be totally different after seeing what the new source can offer (very shortly but still) and after a whole advertaisment of how only an average of 8 people were online on the Beta. The only reason of writing this is only because I don't want to see how this server fall from being a 1.200+ to 300 people. I've tried a few others private servers these days and I need to say this one is something, has something in it. It would be a shame seeing how it all fall apart. P.S. Still thinking this whole update should been handled in a better way but that's just an opinion. Blees, greeting for staff for making this server and hopes that it won't end any bad. Thanks
I don't think you have to worry about the population taking a nose dive. Over the years I've been on MapleRoyals, the server pop has only gone up. MapleRoyals is in good hands. Trust the Staff, they know what they're doing, or the server would have gone downhill long ago
I'm with you kid, I think the new source sucks, old one better. The fastest the server will get online with no bugs and more players and rep it will get. No need to go overloaded if you got only 1 coder and actually can not handle the situation. No idea how you guys can pay for RPs and such and be told: "Sit back, relax, and wait 2 weeks"
Because most of us are patient and have lives outside of royals. Last time I checked most of you havn't coded a new source from scratch. The old source was in fact not good. It could not handle the player base that the server has and the new source can. It just takes a week or two to sort out all of the kinks.
I would not worry about this being the downfall of MapleRoyals, I've been on here for only 8 months and from what I can tell, the people who play this game play it to stay on here. I personally refuse to try another private server while the servers are being fixed. No one can argue that the transfer of going from old source to new source was poorly handled and poorly planned, but when you look at the big picture. The game is going to be even better in the end, which I didn't think was possible! if you give mapleroyals time, you won't regret it.
I just think that after 10 days the problem is not about patience anymore. I logged into the game yesterday when it was up for couple of minutes and with my poor knowledge I can say that the server would not be done untill early march (hopefully I'm wrong). Yes but that because the server offered something different, something that you can't find nowadays if you see the other servers and the only logic choose for old-school community is this one. Will it survive this update tho? You got me wrong then. I think the new source will be way better than the old one (and I'm a new player). The only question is: is it worth the risk of sacrifing something stable (+/-) for the sake of rushing an update to do better? I don't know I'm drunk
i hate how everyone assumes you don't have a life for being a little upset, mapleroyals is a business and it should be treated like one. this update was poorly planned and executed and i shouldn't be called a no life for pointing it out.
You forgot to mention "those guys" previously day who said in the chat bot "Just give me the Source code of New Source and I'll finished it for you".
A month from now when everything is up and running everyone will forget how bad the launch went. Everyone will forget how nasty we were to each other and well all have moved back to ppl2passing again That day cant come soon enough...
The 1200+ people online, I can tell you now that 70% of those players were just character mules. This server has yet to break 1000 real online players.
