Hackers :(

Quick question: A couple of times recently I have walked into a map and all the mobs have been by the entrance although there is nobody in sight - I assume this is where somebody has been hacking. Can I kill those mobs or is that benefitting from somebody hacking and therefore against the rules? I've done it all ways - run through without hitting anything, changed channel and on at least 1 occasion I have killed them all as I was going to the map to train anyway. This has happened in the kerning sewers and in the ant tunnel (all my chars are still low level) but I guess it will become more of a problem as I level up and start exploring more places and the last thing I want is a ban.

I appreciate that if a hacker is evident a screenshot can be taken and posted but I'm assuming they already dc'd before I got there.

Please avoid killing hacked mobs. If you come into a map you want to train in and the mobs look like that, try to alert a GM. If one is available they can take care of the issue.
We are currently working on a solution to this as well as the autobanner, however these things take time to be done properly.

Thanks Muff, if it happens again (or rather, WHEN it happens again :() I'll do that. Usually I run through or change channel but I'll alert a GM and make sure I don't kill them in future

“Alert GM” You mean the button? Does it work?

The in game button doesn't currently work, you can try asking on the shoutbox, Discord, or in game through a SMega.

Got it, the in game button though would be very efficient cause I’ll be able to alert GM without alerting the hacker himself.
