My name is Minnie, I'm 18, and I have recently begun playing Maplestory private servers again. I may or may not have played this one back in the day (my email claimed I already had an account!) but guess who ignored that one? Yeah. So as you can already see, I'm quite an eccentric person. I have been playing another private server (I'm not going to be giving any names due to knowing that mentions of other servers are typically prohibited on forum sites) and I made a ton of friends over there, however I am definitely willing to branch out and see what other servers have to offer! As for information about me, I'm 18 and will be graduating high school in May. I got accepted to my second-choice college in Virginia (I live in the lonely state of Kansas... rip) and I will probably be attending there to pursue my history PhD so that I can (hopefully) become a museum curator in later life! As for my Maplestory private server experience, years and years ago I used to play private servers a lot and it was super fun, but I quit for awhile after some major drama that drastically messed up my mental health and still gives me problems to this day. However, I am now getting back into private servers as many of the servers that used to be up are now taken down. In one of these private servers, I was heavily considered to become a GM intern right before they shut down, so I never got to get any intern work done (which is a super bummer because I really wanted to learn how to help that server). Before that (in that same server), I was a member of the GM-created Board of Advisers (BoA) as the "Social Head" for the server. The BoA was created because the GMs were very busy working on the server and could not do their basic tasks (such as helping new players and answering tech questions... strange, I know), so they hired 6 people to help with that without GM powers. (I believe the six positions were Social Head, Start Up, Tech Head, Boss, Assistant, and there was a final one that I do not recall). Basically what being the Social Head means is that I was the one who dealt with issues regarding to the players, such as trade scams, arguments (smega and text), and in-game technical questions without a title. I also oversaw the forum chat without a title in-game, which I found to be quite fun because I really loved the aspect of close-knit in that particular server. I hope to find that this server is just as welcoming and friendly as previous ones that I have played and helped out with, and I believe if I enjoy it here, I may stay awhile and make a few friends here as well, because I have heard a multitude of great things about this server. I'm sorry that this probably was a super long "get to know me" thread, but I care way too much about first impressions and I'm waiting on this download to get done. tldr; Hi, I'm Minnie and you should add me once I get in-game and find a cool username. Welcome, and I believe I saw you somewhere on the server that got wiped a while ago, lol. As the above guy said, I've been trying my best to quit but I keep coming on for the sake of people I met here, LOL. Hope you have fun here! It's a lil lonely at the start but through your grind life you'll probably meet all kinds of people, lol.
