To those who played old MS: At what level did you quit? Why did you quit? How old were you back then?
161 paladin quit in patch .86 or something not 100% sure just after arans were added moved houses and didn't get internet again for over a year 8-10 years old (2 year period)
Played in Scania; my in-game name was lckle. Became quite inactive post-Big Bang and quit around version 100 at level 169. Simply put, there were way too many alternations that changed how old Maple ran, which I missed (and miss, still) the most.
Played Beta, then Scania (briefly), then Bera. I quit right before Leafre came out, definitely when 4th job wasn't around. I quit at lvl 71. I was really slow. I quit because I was about to start college. I quit after I turned 18. I started Maplestory at 15 I think.
My highest level was a 176 (or 174?) Hero in Broa. I've quit mostly right after the big bang. I just couldn't keep up with all the new towns, items, ... and all the new jobs that came out almost every new version. Probably around the age of 18-19...
117 Sniper Getting like 8-10% an hour got rough, and knowing that it just got much worse didn't help. As well as the fact that mesos in old maple was not that easy to get, you really just hoped you got lucky with drops or gacha unless you could merchant or boss. Didn't feel like there was no place for a F2P after 120. I loved old maple, but it wasn't kind to people who didn't buy NX.
