This guy got banned for having a wife, that is all. Think of how much he brought to the Off Topic forums. If anybody wants to reminiscence of his greatness please share. Makes me think, what if we unbanned other MapleRoyals greats that got banned for silly reasons. 87Karlos and Privateer did some more egregious things, I don't know all the details of, but it would be great to have cool, dedicated players like that back.
The rules are important in protecting the prosperity of the server. But in Jake's case, there are a few factors that I think matter. He denies his guilt and has an explanation. Since he has 10-15 well developed accounts, it would not make sense for him to risk them all by using his wife's account for a very small incremental benefit. Even if he was proven guilty, the extent and impact of the alleged account sharing makes the permanent ban seems quite harsh. He was a remarkably dedicated player and had a huge net positive impact on the server. Not trying to play lawyer here but I'm curious of the logic in banning players like Jake.
i love jake, but he is cursed. shortly after giving him all my wealth on unity upon quitting (i was the richest player at the time)- the server shut down for good. and although we all know jakey is pure and would never rmt/cheat/whatever-excuse-they-made-for-banning-him, we gotta let him go, for his own sake rest in peace ovaryacting 201something-201something ensive:
Great post ^^ I love Jake too. Maybe it's best for him not to play. But knowing Jake, I bet he'll just play other stuff instead. So, maybe it would be nice for him if he was unbanned . I can't say for sure.
