I would start with removing dinput8.dll As stated in here - https://royals.ms/forum/threads/update-60-client-startup-errors.137658/
Well that got rid of that error and now gave me this. It seems like someone else also had the same pop-up in that thread you linked but I can't seem to find the solution
You can delete it cause it currently only works with Windows 8 & 10 But will cause bug with Windows XP & 7

@Dave Deviluke thanks. I was actually just looking at that.. I'm runnning XP on VMware and i can't seem to find the area to change the Hz. Do you know how I can arrive at that window?
There should be a file called setup.exe in the Royals folder Give that a try Let me know if it doesn't work
I used the setup file and a window popped up and had this cute little bouncing Alt +H thing. Which I did. Unfortunately, it still does not run after it adjusts the setting.
