Hello , earlier i've been using windows XP on vmware to be able to boss on mapleroyals since its not possible without dcing randomly without it , but now i'm getting unspecified error -2147467259

Has anyone found a solution around this? another OS maybe?

Bump , any OS that works with a new version of VMware? win7 maybe?

 

Hey m8. I had the same issue. When you have the VMware open, what does it say at the Top? VMware Workstation 15?

 

Yep. I'm not sure where to get version 6.0.4 for ubuntu

 

Try downloading and installing this version of VMware and Windows XP:

-Install VMware Tools (Top Left: Manage: Install VMware Tools)

-Install all Windows XP Updates through the control panel (search for "Updates")

When you are done run MapleRoyals in compatibility mode for: Windows 2000

 

Oh and when it wants to automatically update VMware do not let it! Disable automatic Updates for VMware

 

I'm still on ubuntu mate

Just google around a bit. You'll eventually find VMware version 6.0.x working on Ubuntu

 

Except that i haven't , hence the thread was hoping it was just a bug with windows xp
