Hey everyone! Today I’m going to teach you how to play MapleRoyals in what is essentially “windowed full screen.” Mind you, this is probably not the best method, but it’s the only one that I’ve found to work so far. I've not seen a specific guide for it, so I decided to post one. A lot of PC users these days have multiple monitors and a 800 x 600 application feels super tiny on modern monitors which are much larger. I, for one, have trouble seeing the screen when I play in windowed mode, and feel much more comfortable playing Royals full screen. Unfortunately, Maplestory didn’t really have a windowed full screen option, so this is the best work around I’ve found so far. In this tutorial, you won’t have to download anything. Through this tutorial, you’ll be able to alt + tab into other applications without the pesky full screen disadvantage of lag, taking extra time, etc. This will also make it so the color and stuff aren’t distorted. I don’t know how well this tutorial works with just one monitor! It works perfectly for 2 or more though. 1.) Go to your desktop and right click anywhere not on a shortcut. 2.) Click “Display Settings” 3.) Make sure that the monitor in which you keep MapleRoyals on is selected as your primary monitor. You can do this by clicking “Identify.” Select the corresponding monitor number that shows up on your screen with the one you wish to adjust. 4.) Scroll down until you see “Display Resolution” 5.) In the drop-down menu, select 1024 x 768 Resolution. It needs to be 1024 x 768 or higher to work. Otherwise you’ll be cutting off your bottom bar in-game. Your settings should look like this: 6.) Give it a second to adjust. Your monitor will then convert to 1024 x 768 resolution. 7.) Open MapleRoyals in windowed mode. Like I said, this isn’t really windowed full screen like most applications have today, but it’s as close as I have been able to find. This also will affect any other application being used on that monitor, but you’ll be able to switch back and forth without the typical annoyances. I’ve seen other people just change the scale from 100% to like 150%, but it seems to glitch for me. Enjoy!
Rather than change your resolution you can just change the scaling, which is right above resolution, to meet your needs. Changing your resolution is a bad idea
