If you would just wanted to explore all the end game content, I'll suggest hero or paladin so it wouldn't happen like "owh I can't go for that boss cuz I haven't master zerk mechanic" yet. U may then create a drk whenever ure gonna try it out in the future.
Be a DrK like how the og's use to roll. When 4th job came out, it was over for us DrKs and most jump shipped to NL or Hero's but the gangster ones stayed with Drk even when they had no big change in terms of skills other than Rush and Berserk. Also remember who were the best and highest ranks back in the days, DKs and NLs. Hero's were shrimp lmao. Also like you said Heros are for noobs with zero skill required to boss with, you'll probably die in boss runs due to falling asleep from sheer boredom but if you choose Drk, well it requires hand eye coordination to stay alive and to keep your homies alive during bossing so yup, Dark Knight all the way.
i have drk lvl200 and hero lvl200 i can say to u that drk is more fun to play not very hard to zerk(only toad b2 is bit hard and really need 100% focus) but really when u get use to it its ok. but hp wash is very comon this days so hb is not big deal. the only down side i can said about drk is this:1)good end game wep is vey rare most sky ski u can find is max 125att(123-5still rare) its more ez to find 138/9att then 126/7/8... so ur only end game wep is perf.2)neo tokyo bosses-drk is bad attacker in the last 2 bosses(in auf hb is very nice but u really are hb mule)3)the boss-if u want to do this showa boss as drk its not ez at all to zerk so most ppl most likly dont want u to die. as for hero its more ez to find good wep/most wep is st so u attack faster even if u dont have si but u also need to wash hero but its still warrior so 20k+(even 30k) is very ez and cheap compare to any other class. i play only my hero this days becus its gave me more boss options(neo tokyo/bdg/angeo) and after very long time as drk i kinda like the ez life of 30k hp now. but drk is still nice/fun class if u never try one i say go for drk and good luck
