Is the game dead?

I remember there was this huge patch back in April. Many things were changed in that patch, and consequently many players quit playing, including myself. Do you know what im talkin bout? Do people still play? Should i consider a come back? Would love some info from someone who was playing like six months back and still maplin to this day

 

Im talkin bout 2020 yeah. I was playing for a few months became pro n shit and there was this huge patch changing alot of things. I already forgot what it changed cuz it was along time ago but I remember something about throwing stars and MP potions becoming super expensive - a change that really pissed off the night lords and mage-leechers like myself. Is NL still OP? Is leeching still a thing in today's royals?

 

honestly game is p dead rn after covid and anniversary event ended and classes started up again.

 

In April there were many cause everyone was at home and they were bored, now stuff like college and work are back

Before covid royals had around 1000 online so it's kinda normal numbers

 

The game is far from dead. In fact it is the most populated old-school MapleStory server around. Of course the numbers are lower than at the start of the pandemic, but that is to be expected.

 

If in terms of new players joining in, then yes.

 

I'm jealous that people needed video games to pass time

 

Now people love Shadower more than NL
And yes, leech is still a thing, no matter how we nerf pots or spawn or drop rate.
