Let me try and explain why I find paladin interactive and maybe you will gain a newfound understanding of the class. If you do not mind me asking however, have you played paladin in bosses?

Alright I will use HT as an example. It is impossible to go through all the subtleties of boss fights but I do enjoy talking about this particular subject.
Say I am hitting Head A (Blasting with Lightning). This is what is going on in my mind. I gotta get in the right position so that my blast hits head B when A ducks down. Second, if wing goes up, I need to use ACB because I would be hitting Wing (which is ice weak). Furthermore, if I am in the right position and wing goes up, my acb also bounces on head B!! Then, assuming head A ducks and hammer is off cd, I need to time it properly so that I minimize my dps loss since I cannot hit A with blast. On the topic of hammer, should I hammer or are all the heads magic canceled and I would do more dps blasting then hammering? Next, am I crashing A as soon as cancel comes up? Am I Waiting for dual crash because I have a shadower on the right side hitting B?

This is what is going in my mind constantly and I have to do many of these things up to 3-5 times a minute. If you find that boring, I am okay with that, but the class is interactive and if you actually want to play the game properly and max out your dps , you are going to be paying attention and play the right way. Paladins are probably the only class where using the wrong skills at the wrong time will cause your dps to be reduced drastically (I'd wager you do about 25% of your actual dps if you are not paying attention on this class).

This example is only applicable to Head A, situation is different on head B and on Head C and other bosses. Just to show you how versatile and adaptable paladin can be and if you think holding down blast is good, you are not playing the class properly!

I respect your opinion and just wanted to share a little overview of how I view the class and why I do not find it boring.

    Cheers,
    Haplopelma

Personally, I think Hero is the most braindead class out there, with all things considered.

Probably second to NL but who wants to spend billions on HP washing to fall asleep in boss runs? Oh wait... that's a huge chunk of them... ~f18

Shoot I have a 200 pally and I don't remember what charge to use in zak, pally gameplay is insane... But towards op's question I'd say it's a close tie for nls/hero.

They probably haven't tried to find optimal ways to increase dps.

    Zakum is a good example

-Do you use Heaven's Hammer against 8 arms? What arm count do you stop using it?

-Do you use ACB's pitiful range against 3-4 arms? 2? Which elements do you use? What do you do when one of the arms you're acbing dies, do you move to a position where you can hit 2-3arms with 1 elemental advantage or stay in the same area hitting 1-2 arms with 2 element advantages?

-Will Blast outdamage ACB against 2 arms when ACB's pitiful range hits 1-2 arms

-Should you stand in 1 spot and hit 1-2 arms or jump attack and always hit 2 arms?

Then there's Zakum body that summons element resisting monsters.

-Do you ignore the mobs and continue Blasting or do you kill the mobs at the same speed as a NL with Avenger?

I think it’s not really a question of skill, but rather, of maintenance.

Low maintenance classes are great if you want to multitask like socializing or watching Netflix.

What’s more, lazy (or low maintenance) gameplay is actually op because of multiclienting and allows op methods like summon farming, quad mage farming, and duo/trio attacker by same player to become meta.

Damn, saying paladin is a braindead class when so many classes are just "hold one button and do something else in the meanwhile" classes in this game is a weird one to me.
That only comes to show how many people still see it as a class that just holds blast with stance, which is a little sad to me because u lose so much damage if u do that.
Anyway as many said, Hero and NL are very AFK classes so these might fit what u are looking for.

    I'd say Hero

Though there'd be more depth to Hero, heck I even commented in the Hero Guide about their ability a bit

But lets be honest, most people that play Hero are doing so because they tunnel vision of just "Big DPS" and go for it.

They aren't there to experiment on the class, or to try new things with it, they're basically the hamster on the wheel, spinning it and barely even wondering how they got there or where they're going.

Thanks everyone, have the int equips, leecher and ap resets already, will spend them on hero and report back on how few keyboard presses it takes to boss.

Why shads is low on the list? They doesn't count as braindead?

Shad, despite having high avoid/Shifter like NLs, actually requires you to pay attention to what you are hitting. e.g., in HT am i hitting 2, 3 or 4 parts right now? Oh, Head C canceled, I have to switch which macro im using. Your mastery of assaulter is pretty important since you are prone to falling off as a melee attacker. etc. etc.

Also I met quite a few Shads in my time that still dont know the best method to DPS in Zak while arms are up.

From the attacker classes I played NL was by far the easiest. 2nd easiest was bucc cause of the iframe but it's quite a bit harder than NL, after that it's paladin and hardest was BM (though it's mostly cause I had low HP on it, with high HP it's probably easier but still harder than bucc cause of low avoid)
Bishop was also harder than all of them in things like HT but with high HP it's kinda easy and can chat the whole run
