Yesterday I had an issue opening the client to Maplestory. Some history behind this. When it clicked it, this error would appear: "Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D" then error code : "-2147467259" would appear. I tried several things: Changed between compatibility modes: windows 8, windows xp, etc. I also tried running in 640x480, it seemed like the client was going to open (black screen, etc) but it gave me an error message too. Checked and unchecked other boxes in 'Compatibility' Of course, I had my antivirus make exclusions for the folder I was downloading Mapleroyals into I had Directx 12 so I figured I didn't need to update it reinstalled the game several times. Tried 1024x768 and 800x600, same issue. Some other threads said that I should look for 'setup.exe', but I couldnt find it. Other links to download setup.exe were dead, so I never had the ability to open it. Then when I tried again today (after restarting my computer), there was no error message. But nothing popped up when I clicked on the royals client. I'm not sure where to go on from here. Has anyone had issues like this in the past?

Yeah. I only had between options 60Hz and 49Hz (if I recall the latter correctly) though, but it was already at 60Hz when I checked out the display Hz.
Does anyone have a download file of 'setup.exe', I keep reading that clicking on it works for other people, but I don't have it in my folder.
Found a solution after 3 days of trying to work it out. From this thread. Thanks a lot "YourWorldOnFire", The 2nd last comment: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/error-code-214767259-unspecified-error.137876/ Essentially, go to Intel control panel (it may differ depending on if you use AMD or INTEL) create a custom resolution: 800x600 with display Hz: 60. Test opening the application in 800x600 and Hz60. After doing this, I could switch it back to my default resolution and it still works.
