so I'm new...ish

I've been playing Maple forever since it came out on the regular server. Started over when they came out with the Reboot Server. I found here through a friend, but there is no Blaster class. Any suggestions on what to play since I don't remember anything besides Bishop and Idk if I want to do that again.

There isn’t but honestly having a bishop in the very beginning help others characters progress better!

Before starting you should look at which class you’d want to invest a lot of time into. Most attack classes require HP washing

There’s a lot of guides in this forum for each class and what HP washing is too

Warrior is the cheapest though! You can play a warrior even if you don’t have a bishop.

To save you time, I would start making a bishop. It is very expensive and time consuming to do any other class other than a mage class. You can play Bishop and make a lot of mesos from selling leech + it will save you a lot of mesos from buying any leech at all in the future. Some people create warriors but I see most of them getting bored of it after hitting lvl 120. (Your second character is the one you prepare for the big "bosses" this is the one where you throw 200-800 APR's into.) You could survive without washing, but 99.9999% of the players wash their characters to survive bosses. I been here since 2017 I got a lvl 120 Night Lord that I did not wash and it took me 3 years thinking about it. My goal since starting on Royals has always been to play Night Lord. And 3 years down the road I finally am pursuing that dream. I myself can't live without "washing" I want to follow what everyone else is doing and currently washing is the Meta. I been on and off playing Royals for 3 years, meaning I quit and come back time to time. But whats so beneficial with a Bishop is that you can make a lot of money in a day. My record is making 1.500.000.000 mesos a day, Selling 10+ hours leech a day and gaining lots of loot and Npc'ing that and then finding red envelopes that sold 500k each on the free market was the jackpot.

Anyhow, these are the goals I would look for as a Bishop before making a new character (in my opinion):
Get to 1 hit skeles (1291 TMA required).
Make around 10-20b as a bishop (through leech or w/e)
Get to level 155 or above
Use Mw20/Gen30

 

I think the best class to start with is bishop because : 1- in this server there is a thing called HP washing which is required to almost every class in order to go to high lvl bosses. Bishop don't need that.
2- Bishop is a cheap class (cheap gear) and also you can sell leech when you become a bishop and earn alot of mesos for your next char (earn mesos to wash it, leech it, and for gear).
3- Bishop is a job that is required to ALL bosses.
But you should follow what you like the most and make that,
best to start with the class your most familiar with.
I opened a cleric since I had a cleric at GMS, happens to be the best decision for me.

In general, no, there is no shortage of bishops. However, it is a good class to start with. It is a money making machine once you hit lvl 120 as you can start selling leech in the game. I also made a Bishop

As others have said, Bishop isn't a bad class to begin with to be able to farm and/or sell leech in order to quicker fund an attacking class. When you do make an attacker, it's not a bad idea to make a separate account for that character so you can self-leech with your Bishop.
